(Apologies to Irving Berlin)… We knew that Barack Obama was turning DC into a mecca for sucking at the public teat, but it perhaps was not as obvious until recently as to what extent this is occurring.

RedState member Fred Maidment sent this blog entry from The American to me this morning. It illustrates the depth to which Obama is influenced on “governmentalization” of the private sector. The graphic above tells it all:

Unsurprisingly, the low points come during the Democrat(ic) Kennedy, Carter, Clinton and Obama administrations. But the dearth of private sector experience in the Obama cabinet is almost breathtaking. As Nick Schulz notes, “over 90 percent of its prior experience was in the public sector.” Wow.

It should not be a “wow” moment, though. The Obama administration is promoting exactly what we have suspected it would - elimination of private sector industry in favor of government control. From banking to automotive to health care to “net neutrality” - the government takeover is already well under way. And we shouldn’t be surprised - they’re just doin’ what comes naturally.

Bet you have not seen this photo in your newspaper or on the television.

Ft. Hood: Down in Dothan, AL, a man had a TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there. He called her into his office and the minute he told her what was going on, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay." The cell phone started ringing right after that. It was an ER nurse. She said, "I'm the one who just sent you a text, not your husband." She thought the message would be comforting, but she immediately knew she had to let the wife know what was going on. She said, "I am sorry but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."

The wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan and drove all night.

Miraculously, here is the photo [above] I just received from my brother that was taken today in the hospital room. He is awake and will recover. His wife, who lives in Dothan, made it to Ft. Hood about the time he was waking up. Thought I'd share this great outcome.

Not surprisingly, This soldiers only contact from Obama was when Obama went on TV to downplay the incident and make his pro-Moslem statement!

Dubya might not have been the brightest bulb on the tree -- but he certainly had the greater integrity. He and Laura visited the Fort Hood survivors, and the families of the deceased, without fanfare -- and before Obama made his campaign stop complete with teleprompters.

Charisma is one thing -- integrity is quite another. The troops wanted to see Bush -- not BO! The troops will never forget GWB. BO, on the other hand, is their nightmare. Think if it: Having to obey a CINC who is witless and totally unfamiliar with things military -- who won't even use the word terror -- and who announced a new policy in the war last March and who is now avoiding a decision while Americans are dying abroad -- and on American soil!

Our president is a loser through and through -- a man who has a way with words but, down deep, is shallow. So shallow that we must all fear for our future!

Economic Stimulus payment

Sometime this year, we taxpayers will again receive an Economic Stimulus payment. This is a very exciting program. Allow me to explain it using the Q and A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus payment?
A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers

Q. Where will the government get this money?
A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?
A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?
A. The plan is for you to use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of Asia?
A. Shut up or you don't get your check.

Below is some helpful advice on how to best help the US economy by spending your stimulus check wisely:

1 If you spend the stimulus money at Wal-Mart, your money will go to China.
2 If you spend it on gasoline, your money will go to Saudi Arabia.
3 If you purchase a computer, it will go to India.
4 If you purchase fruit and vegetables, it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.
5 If you buy a car, it will go to Japan or Korea.
6 If you purchase useless plastic stuff, it will go to Taiwan.
7 If you pay off your credit cards, or buy stock, it will go to pay management bonuses and be hidden in offshore accounts.

Instead, you can keep the money in America by:

1 Spending it at yard sales or flea markets, or
2 Going to baseball or football games, or
3 Hiring prostitutes, or
4 Buying cheap beer or
5 Getting tattoos.

These are the only wholly-American-owned businesses still operating in the US .

Conclusion: The best way to stimulate the economy is to go to a ball game with a prostitute that you met at a yard sale and drink beer all day until you're drunk enough to go get tattooed!!!!

A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.

You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

"America is arrogant" - (Your wife even announced to the world,"America is mean-spirited. "Please tell her to try preaching that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried all over the globe who died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House. After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals." Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now. And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

Dear Friends,

I wanted to give an update to everyone who may not have seen the news late last week and over the weekend. Last week either a whistle blower or hacker downloaded and released more than a thousand emails and internal documents from the UN IPCC’s Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in the UK. This facility, also known as Hadley, is the leading global warming research center and it’s scientists are the primary authors of the UN’s global warming research and temperature data for most modeling used at the international level for the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), as well as cited here in the U.S. by agencies and White House officials. I will try to keep this concise, and if you want to see for yourself just go on Google and type in the keywords “Hadley, hacked, global warming, email, fraud.” Any combination will take you to what you need, as the blogs were lit-up all weekend with the issue. As well, the front page of the New York Times covered the issue on Saturday (although the author of that article was mentioned in some of these emails as one of the people in the press they use, so his motives are questionable).

All the emails/information have yet to be authenticated, but it appears that the documents show more than a decade of:

1. Suppression of Data
2. Destruction of data subject to FOIA requests

3. Organized subversion of the peer-review process
4. Coordinated efforts with media outlets

5. Blacklisting of scientific journals for political reasons
6. Blatant scientific fraud and misrepresentation of data

7. Manipulation of data for the UN/WTO’s political agenda
8. Strategies for tax evasion

9. Deceit of International and U.S. agencies for funding and grants
10. And much more…

It is difficult to say just what the full implication of this information is, but it appears that there may be even further data coming available in the near future. Much of what is being said is speculation at this juncture, as a great many folk are working to mine through the emails. However, the CRU has made public that they were indeed hacked and much of the information appears to already be confirmed as legitimate. If so, this could well be the greatest act of scientific fraud in history (it will take a while to calculate the total amount of grant money achieved by fraud and the cost of climate change legislation “Cap-and-Trade” could have been in the $ trillions). Accordingly, nearly all of the international data and models supporting the theory of global warming would have been influenced by data corruption and fraud…with the blatant attempt to perpetuate the political agenda of global warming supporters and the UN IPCC.

The emails and other released data also appear to implicate professors at some of the U.S.’s premier universities in a coordinated effort to achieve the IPCC agenda as well as to garner government grants. It is hard to guess what the fallout is from this information being released, but it is important to note that U.S. climate policy, as well as proposed new regulation under the Clean Air Act was based on the “science” from the IPCC research and the authors of the now public emails. The House Financial Services Committee voted Wednesday to give regulators the authority to break up "too big to fail" financial firms if they pose a systemic risk to the economy, in an effort to prevent future financial crises. The vote passed by a 38-29 margin, with three Democrats - Melissa Bean (D-IL), Dan Maffei (D-NY), and Gregory Meeks (D-NY) - crossing party lines to join all Republicans voting no.

The three Democrats voting no received an average of $99,483 from banks' PACs in the last two years, 119% more than the average of $45,358 received by the 38 Democrats voting for tougher regulation. The measure was fiercely opposed by the financial industry.

I just finished watching (Tuesday night) the local news on News 14 Carolina … and heard the following story which simply blows my mind.

Here is today’s tidbit of information that the Obama half of the nation will never hear about on CNN or MSNBC:

Obama promised transparency and that the stimulus money (American Recovery and Investment Act) would be tracked and you would be able to check it all out on line.

Here goes:

(1) North Carolina was awarded $4,278,470,000 in stimulus funds (that’s over four billion dollars)

(2) Jobs created or saved…28,073 (BUT … In places that do not exist.) It seems that this stimulus money was spread out over all of our 19 Congressional districts.

But we do not have 19 districts. We only have 13 districts in North Carolina. (There are only 435 districts in the entire United States and they can’t even get that right.)

It is kinda like the 57 US states that Obama visited during his campaign in 2008. (There ARE 57 islamic states.)

The 37th district (which does not exist) was awarded $3,925,318.00

The 86th district (which does not exist) was awarded $1,255,629.00

District 00 (which is an unusual number but also does not exist) was awarded over $90,000.00

Well, you get the idea.

Also, according to the administration’s web site, (which by the way cost $18,000,000.00 to create), 54 jobs were created or saved in districts which do not exist, and we are expected to believe that these same people can run the nation’s socialized medicine programs, General Motors and the entire banking industry. I cannot wait for Cap and Trade. While the wheels of “Hope and Change” continue to grind you up … remember … “Yes We Can.”

By the way, the right jack has created 2-3 jobs in 2009 with no Big Government subsidy or bailout of any kind. Democrats seem to not have a clue how to create jobs. See previous post.

This has to be the email forward of the year! Please take a few minutes to read and absorb just what this woman had to say, and then hopefully everyone will pass it to their entire mailing list, and theirs to theirs until it circles the nation! Time is short and arrogance, stupidity and ignorance abound.

GLENN BECK: I got a letter from a woman in Arizona. She writes an open letter to our nation's leadership:

"I am a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. Instead, we are burdened with Congressional Dukes and Duchesses who think they know better than the citizens they are supposed to represent. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now.

You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would feel so horribly disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut-job am I? Well, these briefly are the views and issues for which I seek representation:

One: Illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This is not to be confused with legal immigration.

Two: STIMULUS bill. I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you No, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars. I want the circumvention of our constitutional checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution, and honor it.

Four: Cap and trade.. The debate on global warming is not over. There are many conflicting opinions and it is too soon for this radical legislation. Quit throwing our nation into politically-correct quicksand.

Five: Universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision that will burden me, my children, and grandchildren. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night without even reading it. Slow down! Fix only what is broken -- we have the best health care system in the world -- and test any new program in one or two states first.

Six: Growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. More is not better! Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real [Constitutional] obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven: ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes -- how did they pull that one off? Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with any of our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight: Redistribution of wealth. No, no, no.. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs -- and that is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person! Why do you want me to hate my employers? And what do you have against shareholders making a profit? WHY IS IT THAT ALL OF YOU LEAVE OFFICE AS MULTI-MILLIONAIRS? I WOULD LOVE TO SEE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THAT! MEANWHILE, YOU LIMIT HOW EVERYONE ELSE CAN PROSPER......AND HOW THEY MUST PAY TAXES--GUESS SOME OF YOU FEEL YOU DON'T HAVE TO? WHAT ROCK DID YOU CRAWL OUT FROM UNDER?

Nine: Charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten: Corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Every company must sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. (Have you ever ripped off a Band-Aid?) We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven: Transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please stop trying to manipulate and appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve: Unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now. Take a breath. Listen to the people. Slow down and get some input from nonpoliticians and experts on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed-reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not.

It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is needless urgency and recklessness in all of your recent spending of our tax dollars.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on bringing our concerns to Washington . Our president often knows all the right buzzwords like unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented.. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work, pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone... and we are now looking at you.
You have awakened us, the patriotic freedom spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office.

We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us who will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, Independent, Libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution, and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power.. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. Nothing Is Being Done To Reduce Health Care Premium Costs.

The ObamaCare plan has no Tort Reform and will leave hospitals and doctors with growing massive legal and malpractice insurance costs and increase premiums. No reduction in prescription costs will continue to force Americans to bear the cost of drug research and development worldwide. While the Chinese and the rest of the world get reduced drug costs the premiums for Americans increase. With no provisions in ObamaCare to reduce the cost of doctors, nurses, hospitals and treatments premiums will spiral out of control.

No problem just Tax the wealthy to bankroll ObamaCare. Reid has asked the Congressional Budget Office to analyze a proposal to increase the Medicare payroll tax for people making more than $250,000 per year to help pay ObamaCare.

Premiums are based on the cost of care and the number of people paying those premiums. With no cost controls Obama is mortgaging America's healthcare future by not addressing the costs of tort reform, prescription drugs and making China and the rest of the world help pay for drug research not just the US

The unknown program details will be worked out over the next four years. The 111 NEW BOARDS, bureaucracies, commissions, and programs created in H.R. 3962, Speaker Pelosi's government takeover of health care are sure to cost at least $3,000,000,000,000. Yes, $3 Trillion more in taxes with no cost cutting in sight.

Current legislation leaves unanswered many of questions that will determine perhaps dozens of votes. The final timing and outcome of the vote is in question.

A plan to put Americans back to work

The current Democrat administration is intent on worldwide recruiting to bring in new Democrat voters while giving their existing Democrat voters all possible taxpayer funded perks imaginable.

While Democrats are creating tax and fine programs, unemployment continues to rise. By the end of October 2009, unemployment rose to 10.2%, 17.5% when counting those who have stopped looking for jobs. I have no idea how people can stop looking for jobs, unless of course, they are making a cash-only tax-free living under the table.

Growing US unemployment can be directly linked to the Democrat massive jobless bailout strategies and their new spend, tax and fine “public” initiatives. It should be no surprise to any rational American that Democrats spend and tax. That is what they do. This time of course, their tax strategy is going to kill the golden goose - taxpayers. As noted many times before, tax reduction brings more revenue into the US Treasury than does confiscatory taxing.

Democrats know that they need to develop new sources of revenue to fund these wretched programs. That is why they have included fines in their unconstitutional health care proposal while creating even more new health-related tax programs.

When taxes are increased, people hold onto their money. Reduced taxation leads to increased spending by people with money in their pockets. Reduced taxation worked for Kennedy, Reagan and Bush.

Jobs can be created through the tax code. Here is how The Right Jack would do it.

First, stop the ridiculous taxing and job killing programs that come with their greedy and ill-conceived health care proposals and their job-killing Cap and Trade environmental programs.

Second, reduce the federal tax rate on all US citizen taxpayers.

Third, institute a minimum federal tax on all citizens or adopt the Fair Tax. Everyone becomes a taxpayer. No exceptions.

Fourth, give those who are illegally in the USA six months to become citizens and pay taxes or leave the country.

Fifth, reduce Federal corporate taxes so that they can build their domestic businesses and increase jobs.

Sixth, give corporations a Federal Tax Holiday of six months so that they can bring their foreign profits back to the USA without “tax” penalties.

Finally, I would put a moratorium on the USA gifts and support to other nations for a year. If we do not get our economy back on track, both the USA and those who rely on us for support will suffer in the long run.

These seven proposals will create jobs. There may be other strategies worth considering but I am not an economist, treasury expert, or tax cheat. However, I do know that taxing and fining taxpayers and businesses is not a solution to job creation. The evidence is overwhelming. Stop spending. Lower taxes. This will work for America and put Americans back to work.

No matter where you fall in the wide spectrum of thought on Sarah Palin's ability and as a person, I think this really captures the essence of what she did as Governor of Alaska. I tend personally to admire her if for no other reason than she sends the left into a blind paroxysm of pure HATRED toward her. It always makes me laugh when adults start foaming at the mouth for no good reason.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1- Democrats forget when Palin was the "Darling of the Democrats" because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar. But while you're thinking, I'll continue.

2- Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3- The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in he "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant. Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4- Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5- For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. This summer, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again!

6- President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath. By the way, she was content to return to AK after the natiaonal election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.
So "You go Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.

An estimate 20,000 people [10,000 in the Big Time Dying Media] turned out at the Capitol today [11/5/09] to chant “Kill The Bill.” They then marched through the House of Representatives offices to speak with our Representatives who were present. Orderly [as usual] Republicans, Conservatives and Independents voiced their displeasure over Congressional members who are ignoring the wishes of the people to end this health care madness. Some question whether the government can create bills and laws that take away our freedoms.

III. Representative Allan Grayson [D-FL] is the Democrat [halfwit or nitwit] from Florida who stated that Republicans want seniors to die quickly when talking about ObamaCare. He refused to answer question by gorilla video journalists in the Halls of Congress. Yet, catching up with our Reps in Congress in the hallways is standard operating procedures on Capitol Hill. Related to that, it is Democrats like Obama, Daschle and Panetta who have openly stated that reduced care [not to be called rationing] for seniors is going to help balance the Democrat budget for ObamaCare, PelosiCare and ReedVaporCare.

II. Taxpayers voted with the checkbooks. Ford took the top two sales spots and three of the top five sales spots in the costly Obama Cash for Clunkers disaster [AP report 11/05/09]. Chevy took slots 3, 5 and 7 among the top 20, a total of about one-half of the top three total Ford sales. Ford held 7 spots. Honda and Toyota claimed three spots. These numbers for Chevy do not bode well for their future Obama sponsored growth, let alone survival. You might conclude that Chevy is not win many votes among the taxpayers.

I. By the way, We still do not know if ACORN [a Democrat criminal enterprise] and its many "closet" names continue to receive our federal taxpayer money and access to federal offices and agencies. My Congressional representatives [all Democrats] will not provide a clear and straight-forward answer to this question.

I have never been a big fan of the Yankees. They have more money than the other teams, due in part to living in New York. So, they spend it to purchase the best talent on the market. It works for them but not for the rest of baseball. Small market teams cannot compete with their purchasing power.

I have a solution. We should hold town hall meetings and ask the Obama administration to step up to the plate and do to the Yankees exactly what they are doing to the USA.

What does that mean, you ask.

The Obama government would take over the Yankees and make them pay for the salaries of all of the other teams in baseball. This would, most likely, destroy them. Oh Well.

Obama could also mandate that the Yankees to take all of the worst player salaries from the other teams. I assume you see the analogy there. In fact, maybe the Yankees should also be forced to take the worst players from the Cleveland Browns plus those weak players from the Chiefs, Lions, Raiders and Titans. Yes, that is definitely the way to go. That will teach them a thing or two about how the current government looks at the free marketplace … the right jack

Twenty-nine years ago I stood with my 150 classmates in Thorn Hall, at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, as Dean James Eckenhoff asked us to raise our right hands and repeat after him:

“I will apply measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice.

I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody if asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.

I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are engaged in this work.

Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice.”

Those words, from The Hippocratic Oath written in 400 B.C., changed my life and the lives of the thousands of patients my classmates and I have touched over the past twenty-nine years.

Through my career, I have tried to add to that Oath my obligation “To PREVENT Harm”, through my work in Prevention and at The Institute For Preventative Sports Medicine. I keep this Oath as my foundation as I review the current proposals for Health Care Reform. Take all of the politics out of the latest versions authored by The Obama-Pelosi-Reid Administration, and it comes down to The Oath.

The sad fact is that the Obama-Pelosi-Reid Administration’s 1990 page health care reform bill (HR3962) and supplement(HR3961) violate The Oath by stripping freedom from every person, family and business in Our country. This 19 ½ pound pair of documents, entitled ”Affordable Health Care For Americans Act,” will cost taxpayers over $1.2 Trillion, will institute 13 tax increases totaling $740 Billion, will increase Medicare Premiums to Seniors by $70 Billion, will cost shift $34 Billion to State budgets, and will cut Medicare benefits to Seniors by $426 Billion over ten years.

This current version of a Federal Government takeover of the health care delivery system is a carbon copy of what Obama, Pelosi and Reid tried to “jam” through Congress in July, with a couple of “new” additions to strip every American of even more Freedoms. As Yogi Berra once said, “It’s deja vu all over again.”

This version gives the rationing board, already established through The Stimulus Bill (The Federal Coordinating Council For Comparative Effectiveness Research), additional funding to establish a “Center” to institute the rationing of care.

Rationing is the heart and soul of this legislation. Rationing, as a method of “cost cutting,” is the most inhumane and unethical means of health care cost containment. By definition, these bureaucrats will overrule licensed doctors, and preside over the denial of health care.

This Bill also creates a government regulated insurance “Exchange,” which will include a government subsidized and run insurance company, funded by The Treasury Department for start up costs of $2 Billion of tax payer money. This “Exchange” will be overseen by a Federal bureaucrat given the title: “The Health Choices Commissioner.” The “Commissioner” will establish benefit standards for ALL members of the “Exchange,” not just the government-run company.

In other words, this Government CEO-equivalent will set the rules for all private companies who are “in competition” with the Federal Government. How fair is that? Sorry, I should have realized. This is NOT about fair.

It is about CONTROL. Too much government control is a recipe for disaster.

The most glaring difference between the Obama-Pelosi-Reid health care bill from July and this “new” version is the elimination of a very important sentence from the previous bill. The July Bill (HR 3200) provided for The Health Benefits Advisory Committee whose role is to make recommendations on minimum benefit standards and cost sharing standards. The July Bill charged this Committee with the mandate to “ensure that essential benefits coverage does NOT lead to rationing of health care.” The current Bill establishes the same Committee but ELIMINATES the prohibition on rationing care.

It is obvious. The “New” Obama-Pelosi-Reid Health Care Bill’s heart and soul is based on (1) rationing and denying care to cut costs, and (2) taxing every American in its path. The end result strips Freedom from every citizen. Then again, what would you expect from a document that uses the words “require” 118 times, “tax” 87 times, and “penalty” 113 times.

The Oath my classmates and I took 29 years ago was based on the premise “Do No Harm.” I cannot condone this legislation, which promises to HARM every person, family and business in our country. We need to reject rationing, and fight the loss of control of our health care lives.

If you have not heard about this, the White House is accusing Fox News of not being a legitimate source of news, calling them biased, etc. They have tried to block Fox reporters from news conferences, etc., but the other news networks are fighting back (in favor of Fox) and caused the White House to back down.
