After being in the music business for 52 years it's just about all I know anything at all about -- and in keeping with my admittedly narrow knowledge, I would like to draw an analogy concerning the Obama administration, viewing things from my vantage point.
Ok, let's say you pick out the finest symphony conductor in the world, add the greatest singer and seven or so of the finest classical musicians on the planet.
You get them together backstage and say, "Alright, there are twenty thousand fans out front, standing room only, expectations are off the charts, they are looking for the best show they've ever seen.
Now the curtain goes up in five minutes, the sound has been checked out, the lights set and everything is perfect, the stage is set for the greatest show the world has ever seen.
Now get there and knock 'em out guys!! They're all with you; you're all superstars in their eyes. Go show 'em how it's done.
Oh, there's only been one change ... Tonight you have to do your show playing songs you've never played and you'll have to improvise. There's no sheet music. You'll just have to jam."
Can you imagine the panic backstage??
You see, some of the very finest musicians on earth can't jam a lick. I remember a few years ago when I had a couple of young fiddle players come on stage with me to play "The South's Gonna Do It Again."
They had learned the parts I'd played on the record, arrangement, lead lines, and all and played it perfectly note for note.
Everything was going swimmingly, until I decided to leave the arrangement and jam for a while. When I turned to one of them and told them to take a solo the kid was as lost as a baby sheep in a hail storm.
They had no more idea about improvising than they did about how to build a spaceship.
"The South's Gonna Do It Again" is a simple twelve bar blues song that any musician from any garage band would be able to take a solo on, but even though these kids were extremely talented and played what they knew perfectly, when it came to jammin, they were totally lost. They had just never learned to do it.
To me the presidency is kind of like jammin'. You have to roll with the flow, improvise, adapt to the moment, pick up on what's going on and deal with it.
Our president has never had to jam, he's always had the sheet music in front of him and he's never had to play a note somebody else had not written for him.
One of the biggest mistakes President Obama made when he came in office was to surround himself with a bunch of players who had never jammed either. None of them have ever had any practical experience in the real world.
In essence, they are a bunch of paper tigers. They do an incredible job of spending other people's money and sneaking legislation through the back door, but out in the real world, where there are no scripts, down where the rubber meets the road there is probably not a person in the bunch who could change a flat tire, much less deal with the complex problems America faces.
The only thing Obama has done with out any problem that has arisen is to throw money at it, and in truth, that's sadly all he knows how to do.
When it comes to dealing with things that money alone won't fix like busted oil pipes at the bottom of the ocean or solving the problems on our southern borders he's lost and all those around him are lost.
The Obama cabinet is the most inept bunch imaginable. When people have only viewed the world from the top of an ivory tower they don't react very well when it's time to get their hands dirty.
Obama's people can't even accept real world concepts of the dangerous situations we're dealing with. Eric Holder wanting to try terrorists in civilian courts -- in New York City of all places -- is nothing less than naïve arrogance.
Janet Napolitano's gross inexperience in dealing with security matters is going to end up costing this country dearly.
Putting an unqualified person who has never even been a judge on the bench of the highest court in the land, for nothing more than her political leanings is insanity.
Everywhere you look you see eggheads with nothing more than a college degree to qualify them for the sensitive jobs they hold.
I'm just wondering how long it will take for a majority of the people in this country to realize that the wheel that steers the direction of this nation is in the hands of people who have no idea how to get from point "a" to point "b" without a road map and that road map just doesn't exist. Every trip is different.
I see disaster looming on the not too distant horizon, financial disaster, increasing danger from terrorist attack, unabated violence in the streets, and an arrogant and unmanageable illegal alien population.
It's coming folks and Obama and the band are still in the dressing room looking for the sheet music.
They just can't jam.

Plan Ahead
As someone younger than 50 who started with a small sum and achieved financial independence solely through allocating capital, I am astounded by the lack of financial literacy in our country.
Until recently, I blamed it on our educational system. There is no requirement that students learn the two most-important skills that every American adult will need at some point in their life, regardless of their race, creed, what city they live in or what profession they choose: budgeting and investing your savings in safe, high-yield investments.
Anyone who works 40 years, puts $5,000 per year in an Individual Retirement account paying 6 percent would have $773,810 at retirement and would be earning about $50,000 per year annually on their money. They wouldn’t outlive their money if they lived prudently.
Until two years ago, 6 percent was usually a low-risk rate that most conservative investors could expect. However, if today’s 2 percent rates continue in the future, like many including myself believe, the same person will only have $302,010 and would be only be earning about $6,000 dollars annually on their money, which could eventually deplete their retirement nest egg.
However, if you saved the $5,000 and compounded your money in safe, high-yield investments that earn 12 percent annually, your total would be double the 6 percent, right?
Wrong.
In fact, because of the miracle of compound interest and the reinvestment of dividends, your estate would be worth $3,835,455 ($3.8 million!) and would be earning you more than $450,000 annually without touching your principal.
Now that is preparing for retirement, isn’t it? Just imagine if you were able to save more than that each year or you could compound your money at even a higher rate? Now do you understand why it is crucial to learn how to compound your money at higher rates?

Money invested in the US Government will likely be spent by Congress. Remember! Social Security will go broke some time before or after 2020.
Privatize Social Security:
Do you see why Democrats are against you investing a meager 2% of your social security account in the stock market. Democrats want all of your money and are talking in secrecy among themslves about how and when to take all retirement accounts and give back to you 3% IF there is anything left. Unions are exempt.

Together, they have been very successful at making many people believe that Republicans are far more diabolical than the lowest of the low dictatorial regimes on Earth. We have seen a number of examples of alliances like this in just the past 100 years where “The Party” and “The Media” joined forces as one to create a super class and a subservient underclass. There is neither Freedom of the Press nor Trust nor Freedom when The Press is linked hand-in-hand to one party or regime. =trj

President Barack Obama misrepresented the House Republicans’ budget plan at times and exaggerated its impact on U.S. residents during an April 13 speech on deficit reduction.
• TUO/Obama Obama claimed the Republicans’ "Path to Prosperity" plan would cause "up to 50 million Americans … to lose their health insurance.”
• TUO said the GOP plan would replace Medicare with "a voucher program that leaves seniors at the mercy of the insurance industry."
• TUO said “poor children,” “children with autism” and “kids with disabilities” would be left “to fend for themselves"
• TUO repeated a deceptive talking point that the new health care law will reduce the deficit by $1 trillion.
• TUO falsely claimed that making the Bush tax cuts permanent would give away "$1 trillion worth of tax cuts for every millionaire and billionaire."
• TUO said the tax burden on the wealthy is the lowest it has been in 50 years.

This photo was taken by a friend at a rally at the state capitol yesterday. The news will not show it and the Capitol Police and Homeland Security would not let Americans or any of the Veterans that were there do anything about it. My husband and his friends were threatened to be arrested and were told they would be booked under federal charges if they did anything. I am sending this to you so that you in turn can start emailing it to every one on your list. It is totally uncalled for and people need to see it. This is not about politics and rhetoric, it is about a direct threat to our country. Those of you that don't live in Arizona will maybe get a chance to see the other side of what the news is telling you. If this offends you great, than I have truly accomplished what I set out to do.
Homeland Security was designed to identify and defend America from Terrorist acts yet yesterday it let illegal and legal citizens of this country desecrate the Flag. People were spitting on it, stomping on it and burning it with cigarettes. One soldier who had just returned from Iraq tried to grab the flag and was thrown to the ground by the Capitol Police and Homeland Security.
It amazes me how many people will stand against the American People while all the while prospering from our system and our government.
Too those of you that will forward this to your friends I applaud you for the courage to stand up for the country in which you live.
