Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell is reportedly cutting a compromise with Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid which would reduce Congressional oversight of Obama appointees by as much as one third. Reid is billing this compromise as a way to make government more efficient. But Constitution-loving Americans are very alarmed, and with good reason. So far, Obama has made a concerted effort to name the most outrageously radical Leftists to the highest administration positions he can finagle -- many, like his "czarships" extra-Constitutional positions. Let’s take a moment to review some of the extremists with whom Obama has surrounded himself:


1. John Holdren – Science Czar: Co-wrote a 1970s college textbook in which he proposed mass sterilization chemicals be added to the nation’s water supply and advocated forced abortions in an effort to “control population.” Ehrlich/Holdren, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, W H Freeman & Co 1977


2. Cass Sunstein – Regulatory Czar: Has written numerous books and articles in which he argues animals should be able to sue their owners; argued that government has the right to determine which living persons are fit to be permitted continued life, and can HARVEST THEIR ORGANS WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION!


3. Dawn Johnson – Justice Department Nominee: As a radical NARAL lawyer, Johnson referred to women as “fetal containers,” declared pregnancy a form of slavery and characterized preborn human babies as parasites to the mother.


4. Kevin Jennings – Safe Schools Czar: As a high school teacher in 1998, Jennings learned of the statutory rape of a 15 year old, but failed to report it to the authorities as was his legal duty. In 2000, his foundation GLSEN gave a class to young children that graphically described and promoted unorthodox sex techniques. His 2007 memoir unapologetically detailed and even celebrated his active drug use in the 1980s. Jennings has repeatedly written articles and given speeches demanding homosexuality be “promoted” in public schools.


5. Ezekiel Emmanuel – Health Policy Advisor: Has advocated withholding medical treatment from “non-productive” members of society, specifically the elderly and CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DISABILITIES! Emmanuel, “Where Civic Republicanism and Deliberative Democracy Meet”, The Hastings Center Report 1996


6. Elena Kagan – Supreme Court Justice: As a political advisor and White House legal counsel to President Bill Clinton, Kagan falsified evidence and tampered with witness testimony in the partial birth abortion ban case before the Supreme Court. She lied about this during her nomination hearings for the SCOTUS. Legal sanctions and a possible class action lawsuit demanding her disbarment is underway.


7. Dalia Mogahed – Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships Advisor: Openly supports Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), The Muslim Brotherhood and denies that there is any connection between radical Islam and terrorists.


8. Harold Koh – Legal Adviser for the Department of State: Asserts US courts should accept and use International law rather than US Constitutional law even in American civil courts.


9. Bill Ayers & Bernadine Dohrn – Personal Advisors: Ayers and Dohrn, while not formally in the Obama administration, literally launched Obama’s political career in the living room of their Chicago home, holding Obama’s first Senate fund raiser and helping mold his political rise to power. Ayers and Dohrn were leaders of America's infamous “home grown terrorists,” known as The Weathermen, who declared war on and terrorized the United States throughout the 1960s and 70s. The group was responsible for 25 bombings, some fatal, including those of the US Capitol building (1971), the Pentagon (1972), and the State Department building (1975). “I don't regret setting bombs; I feel we didn't do enough,” Ayers told the New York Times in 2001. Ayers apparently ghostwrote Obama's largely fictitious "autobiographies."

But, on the minus side, Romney is not charismatic. He never was a "Community Organizer," never took drugs or smoked pot, never got drunk, did not associate with communists or terrorists, nor did he attend a Church whose Pastor called for God to damn America and not “God Bless America,” nor has he engaged in the "cover up" of his past.

Flash mob honors WWII Vets at Reagan National

Honor is a hard term to describe. It doesn’t have a color or weight or shape. If someone were to ask me what honor looked like, I’d probably struggle with what to say.

But something happened on May 23, 2012 at 9:31 a.m. at Gate 38 of Reagan National Airport that might change that. A flash mob of sorts broke out. But not like you’ve seen on YouTube with highly choreographed dance numbers or people singing a song in unison. In fact, virtually all of the participants of this “flash mob” didn’t know they would be participating until moments before it happened.

Let me explain. Shortly before 9:30 over the loud speakers, a US Airways gate attendant announced that an Honor Flight of World War II veterans would be arriving momentarily and encouraged anyone passing by to help greet them. Five or six people looked like they were officially part of the welcoming committee, and the rest of the people in the secure section of the airport were regular old travelers going somewhere. Then I had a terrible thought. What if these veterans came off the plane and just those five or six individuals were there to greet them. I walked a gate over to help see the veterans out.

But – then it happened and frankly, I wasn’t expecting it. All throughout the terminal, people left their gates and gathered around gate 38. A few active military personnel in plain clothes approached the gate attendant and politely asked if they could join in the salute within the jet way as the heros first stepped off the plane. Every human being in the terminal stood at attention and faced the door.

Someone held up an old newspaper from 1945 that had a banner headline that said, “Nazis Quit!” And when I saw that newspaper, I realized that World War II wasn’t just a chapter in a history book. It was men and women who saw an evil like the world has never seen before and traveled across the world to meet that evil. And they defeated it.

I wonder if in 1945, any of those brave soldiers could ever imagine that 67 years later, we’d still be basking in the freedom that they preserved. And some of those heros were about to walk through Gate 38.

The first soldier walked through the door. Old, frail and needing help walking. And every person I could see in the entire airport stood and applauded. No – maybe cheered is more like it.

But here’s the thing – the applause didn’t stop. For a full 20 minutes, as veteran by veteran stepped out of the jet way, the US Airways wing of Reagan National Airport thundered in appreciation. Travelers stepped out for the opportunity to shake their hand while others held back tears.

This is the America we picture in our heads. Heros getting a hero’s welcome and those who enjoy the freedom adequately conveying their gratitude.

70% of unmarried women voted for President Obama in the 2008 election
Some commentators argue that ObamaCare will “destroy marriage for the middle class the same way that the Great Society welfare state destroyed the black family with financial incentives for staying single.” Politically, the “marriage penalty” is also another Democratic kickback. This provision is designed to placate and cement the support of that 70 percent of unmarried women who voted for President Obama in the 2008 election. Greenberg Quinlan Rosner, a liberal firm that consults for clients such as Bill Clinton and John Kerry, said: “Unmarried women represent one of the most reliable Democratic cohorts in the electorate ... leading the charge for fundamental change in health care.” Many of these unmarried women are mothers (older women, rather than teenagers, currently drive the out-of-wedlock birth rates); women in their 20s had 60 percent of all babies born out of wedlock, and women over age 30 had another 17 percent. ObamaCare is a boondoggle for these older unmarried mothers.

Many pro-marriage activists view the bill as “a direct attack on marriage,” which the Heritage Foundation reports could go as high as a $10,000 annual “penalty” for being married, and, cumulatively, a married couple “could face a penalty of over $200,000 during the course of their marriage.” The bill would “hit young married couples hard” and “bite back at empty-nesters” by creating “enormous pressure for couples to live together without marriage — or even get divorced — by charging married couples thousands of dollars more in premiums and fees.”

ObamaCare means a new tax will disproportionately fall to lower and middle income couples who choose to get married rather than just live together. The House Republicans gave an example of an unmarried couple, each earning $25,000, for a total income of $50,000 who would pay annual health insurance premiums capped at $3,076. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that about 17 million people would receive such subsidies in 2016 under the House health care bill. A married couple with the same combined income, $50,000 a year, would pay premiums capped at $5,160 — a “marriage penalty” of $2,084.

Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation predicts that the disparity could be even higher. In his analysis of the Senate bill, “saying ‘I do’ would cost some couples over $10,000 a year.” Rector also said that empty-nesters “would pay an effective tax of $5,000 to $10,000 per year for the right to remain married,” the report continued. “For example, a 60-year-old couple, each earning $30,000 per year, would receive $10,425 per year less in benefits if they marry or remain married. Simply by divorcing and then living together, the couple can boost their post-tax, take-home income by nearly one-fourth.” Rector’s report warned, “The bill’s wedding tax is perpetual. ... Some couples who remained married throughout their adult lives would face cumulative penalties of over $200,000 during the course of their marriage.”

The disparity is intentional and it means that U.S. government policy will encourage singleness and create increased disincentives for marriage. Single individuals will have an advantage with the earned income tax credit as well as welfare benefits, including food stamps. As the Democrats explained: “making the subsidies neutral towards marriage would lead to a married couple with only one bread-winner getting a more generous subsidy than a single parent at the same income-level.”

Stacy Dickert-Conlin, an economics professor at Michigan State University, explained, “You might like to have [the Health Care Reform Bill] be progressive, equitable and marriage-neutral. But you have to decide what your goals are, because you can’t accomplish all three.” Those who designed ObamaCare were willing to sacrifice marriage for the sake of seeming to be “progressive and equitable,” even though social science research reveals a clear link between single motherhood and poverty.

Today, poor children living in single-parent households comprise almost two-thirds of all poor children (63 percent). That figure stands in stark contrast to the time before liberal social welfare policies went into effect in 1960, when only 25 percent of all poor children lived in single-parent households.

The message is painfully undeniable and unequivocal. There is no way to address poverty in America without addressing the problem of single mothers and absent fathers. Yet, the Health Care Reform Bill that was just rammed through by the Obama Administration does exactly the opposite: ObamaCare ramps up the subsidies promoting single motherhood and discouraging marriage.

These subsidies are just one more of the numerous financial incentives in current government policy that increasingly encourage individuals to reject marriage — the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), housing subsidies, food stamps, child support payments, and the welfare dependency programs that created and sustained the inner city matriarchal culture.

The domestic and social policies of the Democratic Party are typically shaped by feminist input. White House logs under the Obama Administration indicate that representatives of Planned Parenthood are among the most frequent visitors. ObamaCare continues the paybacks to the radical feminists. Early in his administration, President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Act, allowing women to sue employers for workplace discrimination, even years after widespread workplace discrimination. Later, the President gave the majority of taxpayer-paid stimulus jobs to women even though men suffered the majority of job losses during the current recession.

These perks are costing American taxpayers trillions of dollars a year. Current welfare programs total close to $1 trillion a year (twice as much as national defense and nearly the size of the federal deficit); ObamaCare is projected to add another $2.5 trillion after all its provisions take effect. There’s no end in sight to the increasing costs of these entitlements.

Democratic staffers supposedly told reporters that they “had to decide what their goals were” with Health Care Reform legislation. They should learn from history: more than forty years of failed policies have shown that when the wrong solution is applied to a bad situation, increases in funding simply magnify the problem.

Summary note from the right jack: Democrat policies started destroying the African American family structure in the 1960s. How? Single mothers received substantial financial benefits that intact families could not receive. Now Democrats will institute similar policies that will create more dependent women with and without children. Married couples will be punished with higher health care costs and higher taxes.
