Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8

From the minister:

We were in slow-moving traffic the other day and the car in front of us had an Obama bumper sticker on it. It read: "Pray for Obama. Psalm 109:8".

My husband's Bible was lying on the dash board & he got it & opened it up to the scripture & read it. He started laughing & laughing. Then he read it to me. I couldn't believe what it said. I had a good laugh too.

Psalm 109:8 "Let his days be few; and let another take his office."

At last - I can voice a Biblical prayer for our president! Look it up - it is word for word! Let us all bow our heads and pray.

Rules are Rules

Don’t Bend The Rules For Anything

Good news:

It was a normal day in Sharon Springs, KS, when a Union Pacific crew boarded a loaded coal train for the long trek to Salina.

The Bad news:

Just a few miles into the trip a wheel bearing became overheated and melted, letting a metal support drop down and grind on the rail, creating white hot molten metal droppings spewing down to the rail.

The Good news:

A very alert crew noticed smoke about halfway back in the train and immediately stopped the train in compliance with the rules.

The Bad news:

The train stopped with the hot wheel over a wooden bridge with creosote ties and trusses. The crew tried to explain to higher-ups but were instructed not to move the train! They were instructed “The Rules” prohibit moving the train when a part is defective!

RULES ARE RULES!

Don't let common sense get in the way of a good disaster!

News Capsules on 2/12/10

It has been widely reported that Acorn will receive $4 billion in the 2011 Obama budget. Leftists say it is not true.

Child care workers in Michigan to automatically become unionized. They do not want it. Seems to be no recourse to reverse this government action. Other states plan to do this.

Jobs bill keeps morphing into anything but a jobs bill. Props up government workers.

ObamaWorld “Jobs Saved” smoke and mirrors data includes workers who receive a raise.

Still more people have lost jobs. ObamaWorld reports that unemployment is down.

Obama and the Democrats were against war against terrorism in the Middle East. Called it a failure. Now, Joe Biden claims success in Iraq is due to Obama policies.

Forced Unionization in Michigan

From John Stossel's Take

Michelle Berry runs a day-care business out of her home in Flint, MI. She thought that she owned her own business, but Berry's been told she is now a government employee and union member. It's not voluntary. Suddenly, Berry and 40,000 other Michigan private day-care providers have learned that union dues are being taken out of the child-care subsidies the state sends them. The "union" is a creation of AFSCME, the government workers union, and the United Auto Workers.

This racket means big money to AFSCME, which runs the union, writes the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, a free-market think tank.

Today the Department of Human Services siphons about $3.7 million in annual dues to the union….
The money should be going to home-based day-care providers — themselves not on the high end of the income scale. Ms. Berry now sees money once paid to her go to a union that does little for her…

Patrick Wright, a lawyer for the Macknac Center, says the union was forced on the women after a certification election conducted by mail in which only 6,000 day-care providers out of 40,000 voted. Wright told me his clients, like Berry, say they were "shocked" to learn they were suddenly in a union.

They want nothing to do with the union. One of my clients has said, “Look, this is my home, I’m both labor and management here.” They’ve wanted nothing to do with this union and don’t think that it has any purpose besides than to siphon money away from them.
Michigan isn't the only state funding unions this way.

Fourteen states have now enabled home-based day-care providers to be organized into public-employee unions, affecting about 233,000 people.

Mackinac sued Michigan on behalf of the day-care owners, but the case was dismissed. They have appealed. Neither Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, the Department of Human Services, nor the union would talk to me about this. Last month, Michigan Rep. Justin Amash proposed a law that would end "stealth" unionization of private entrepreneurs.

College student shoots home invader

Saves 10 lives

Yet another reason to keep a gun in the house . . .

Several months ago, in the notoriously dangerous neighborhood of College Park in Atlanta, Georgia, two armed criminals broke into a house party of students.

After confiscating the group's valuables, the invaders split the men and women up into different rooms.

Witnesses say the perpetrators then counted their rounds and discussed if they had "enough" ammunition.

The students believe the gunmen were going to rape and murder the entire group of students, who were celebrating a birthday at the end of the semester.

However, one male student, whose identity is being protected by police and local media, retrieved a handgun from his backpack and fired at the thug who was detaining the men.

(That is: One smart student had prepared for a night in College Park, Atlanta.)

The criminal fled the apartment under the threat of injury and never returned.

The student, continuing on into the girls' room, found the other thug, 23-year-old Calvin Lavant, preparing to rape his first victim.

The student exchanged gunfire with Lavant, lethally wounding him in the process. Lavant fled through a window and died in front of his apartment, only one building away.

One of the female students was injured during the exchange, but doctors expect a full and complete recovery.

So what's the point

A student saved the girls from rape, and saved the whole group of 10 people (including himself) from murder . . . and he did it with a handgun.

This is a perfect example of how ludicrous "big city gun laws" are. What if this had happened in New York, Chicago, or any of the other big cities that criminalize their citizens' self defense?

Yes, we would be reading an entirely different story -- one so horrendous that we would shudder at the very words.

Either this whole group of friends would have been raped and murdered by these two sorry excuses for human beings . . . or the hero of this story would be facing prison time for firearm possession and murder.

Thankfully, however, Atlanta hasn't outlawed self-defense yet. And since someone had a gun and was willing to use it, innocent life was preserved.

Congratulations to the unnamed hero of this story. You saved your friends' lives.

Used Taser

ONLY A MAN WOULD ATTEMPT THIS

Just try reading this without laughing till you cry!

Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife. A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this:

Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized tazer. The effects of the tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety.

WAY TOO COOL

Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.

AWESOME

Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-A batteries, right? There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and tazer in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, 'no possible way!' What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.

I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, 'don't do it dipshi*t,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and . . . . . . . .

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. . WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION . . . WHAT THE HELL!!!

I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, and then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again.. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs? The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.

Note: If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a tazer, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor ... a three second burst would be considered conservative?

IT HURT LIKE HELL!!!

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace.

The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was. My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I had no control over the drooling.

Apparently I pooped on myself, but was too numb to know for sure and my sense of smell was gone. I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head which I believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my n*ts and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!

P.S. My wife, can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift, and now regularly threatens me with it!

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!

Questionable Jobs in ObamaWorld

Millions in Stimulus Spending Being Doled Out for Questionable Jobs
By William La Jeunesse - FOXNews.com

Federal agencies are spending stimulus money at the rate of $196 million an hour. And they will do so every hour for the next eight months until a September 30, 2010, deadline.

"When you put that kind of money out the door that fast, there's a possibility of $55 billion dollars of waste, fraud and abuse connected with it," Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, said Thursday before a Senate Finance Committee hearing examining the lack of oversight in the $878 billion dollar economic stimulus bill passed a year ago.

Grassley said he fears much of the money is going to some individuals and businesses that don't qualify for it and projects that do not serve taxpayers best interests. Judge for yourself:

-- $233,000 to the University of California at San Diego to study why Africans vote. Jobs created: 12, but seven of those are Africans in Africa.

-- In Nevada, $2 million in stimulus money built a new fire station, but because of budget cuts, the county can't afford to hire firefighters to work there.

-- Penn State University got $1.5 million to study plant fossils in Argentina. Of 5 jobs created, 2 belong to Argentines.

-- Researchers the State University of New York at Buffalo got $389,000 to pay 100 Buffalonians $45 each to record how much malt liquor they drink -- and how much pot smoke each day. Consumption is then reported via an automated phone hotline. Cost per job: almost $200,000.

-- The Obama administration is spending $5 billion to weatherize homes. But one Texas county spent $4 million to weatherize just 47 homes. That's $78,000 per house. Each retrofit is supposed to save homeowners $500 a year in energy costs. That means taxpayers will recoup their investment in 156 years, long after the home is probably torn down.

-- Two Arizona universities got almost $1 million dollars so 3 grad students can study how ants work. That's more than $300,000 per job.

-- Companies that raise tropical fish, shellfish, catfish, alligators and even turtles qualify for $50 million in tax money to buy fish food.

-- North Carolina public schools received $4.4 million to hire math and literacy coaches, not for students, but teachers. That's 64 people paid $70,000 each to teach teachers how to teach reading and math.

"We have to know that people at the Office of Management and Budget and the various agencies that are shoveling this money out the door, that they're on top of it," Grassley told Fox News. "And we need transparency and information on all of this."

Senate sources say privately many inspectors general are understaffed and overwhelmed, and mechanisms to stop fraud and disqualify tax cheats, criminals and others aren't always working.

Take the Napa Valley Wine Train. The county received $54 million to build a railroad bridge, relocate a half-mile of track and build a flood wall to protect a wine train passenger station. The no-bid contract went to a minority-owned business operated by an Eskimo tribe outside Anchorage.

The company then hired a real construction company for a fraction of what they were paid by the government to actually do the work. The tribe's CEO has no construction experience. His last business, a Web site for sailors, went bankrupt after spending $13 million in investor money.

"That wine train is sort of the perfect storm of practically all of the things that is wrong with government contracting," said Danielle Brian, director of the Project on Government Oversight.

Other dubious contracts include:

-- $6 million in stimulus money to a California contractor under federal investigation for overcharging San Diego for cleanup after the 2007 wildfires.

-- A Denver developer received $13 million in tax credits to help build a senior housing complex despite being sued as a slumlord for running decrepit, rodent-infested apartment buildings in San Francisco.

-- Kentucky gave $24 million to a contractor on trial for bribery.

-- An aerospace company received $15 million to monitor water quality in a Ventura County creek it was already fined for polluting.

"What we have is already a broken system. The federal government is just lousy in its contracting. When you add these elements of speed where the contracting officers or the agencies are being pushed to hurry up and get these dollars out and these grants out quickly, all you're doing is making it harder for them to make good choices," said Brian.

Some inspectors general are spending less than one percent of stimulus expenditures on oversight.

** Democrat job plans focus on bailing out government employees in all sectors. Tax incentives for small business to hire more employees is a government-styled welfare program that would force small businesses to close their doors when sales do not increase enough to cover the added payroll. Dah!

** Remember, ObamaWorld has the fewest number of cabinet members and other appointees with business experience than any administration in history. The fewest ever!!! They only know how government, education and charity works.

** Unemployment is down slightly to 9.7%. More jobs lost than gained in January. More people have stopped looking for jobs. Unemployment is over 17% and needlessly high. Democrats continue to blame their big spending plans and the resulting poor economy they created on Bush 43.

** Super Bowl advertisements cost $3 million for 30 seconds. Big Government TV advertising for the US Census is paying out for 37 markets or SMSAs. US population is how the number of delegates for the House of Representatives are set, make that fixed. Democrat census workers can "cook the count" in Blue areas.

** 51% of union members work for government. FDR did not approve of unionized government. Boortz on 2/4/10

** $0.42 of every ObamaWorld Big Government $1.00 in spending is borrowed. Can they make a deal with their credit card company to pay off "our" debt at a big discount?

** Detroit muslim terrorist passenger was ready to spill what he knew and brag about future terrorist bombers coming our way UNTIL he was marandized. Then he shut up. Conclusion: ObamaWorld DOJ not a friend of the USA. Is this the kind of change you want?

** Communist Party USA and ObamaWorld have exactly the same agenda.

** Obama meets with Republicans in the Senate for first time in 12 months. Cites the need for bipartisanship. Yet, Democrat leaders in Congress excluded Republicans from their back room approach to writing legislation.

** From Bob Livingston's Liberty Alert … Barack Obama’s populist pandering. No doubt the president’s promise to “tax those darned banks” will get the support of many voters. But consider: Many of his targets, such as HSBC, never took any bailout funds. Others, such as Wells Fargo, only accepted because they were forced to … and paid back every penny as soon as they could. Of course, such political favorites as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the auto companies—which were the largest recipients of government funds—will be exempt from the special tax. - - - Chip Wood

** I watched a 25 year old Obamite with the USAID shrieking hysterically, berate a full bird colonel in the air force, because he countermanded her orders, whilst trying to unscrew the air pattern. "You don't know what your president wants! The military isn't in charge here we are!" --- from Nick in Haiti. Does that remind you of Bay Area Barbara Boxer berating a high ranking military officer during Senate hearings. Conclusion: ObamaWorld and Democrats no friend of the USA and US Military. Is this the kind of change you want?

** An increase in atmospheric water vapor is responsible for at least a third of the average temperature increase since the early 1990s, say scientists at the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Susan Soloman, the respected climate scientist who lead the research, says that this finding does not undermine man-made global warming theories. "Not to my mind it doesn't," she said. Soloman did point out that the research does allude to human emissions having a much smaller role in climate change than previously thought, and serves as a warning to climate modelers who "over-interpret the results from a few years one way or another." Despite Soloman's personally held belief, the NOAA study is expected to give further ammunition to climate skeptics working to draw public attention to perceived flaws in man-made global warming theories.

Open letter to Rush Limbo

Open letter to Rush Limbo

Hi ElRushbo,

Just read the Foxman transcript from yesterday. A question for you to ponder, and hopefully return with some classic words of wisdom. Why is it that the major anti-gunners in our elected representatives are Jews? As examples, Feinstein, Schumer, Bloomberg, Lautenberg and Levin. You would think after Hitler sent his bully boyz to the Jew's doors, with lists of their registered guns to be confiscated, that they would not want this scenario repeated. And once the terrorists start in here, like in Israel, who ya gonna call when they open fire around you? Taking the law abiding citizens right to owning a firearm (and concealed carry) away is absolutely crazy in these times.

And are you aware of the Obama/Billary embrace of a binding United Nations treaty on global control of international trade in firearms and ammunition? Soros and his protégé Rebecca Peters are behind this big time. This International Arms Trade Treaty would circumvent our Constitution, trashing the Second Amendment and disarm all United State citizens. No more incremental gun laws, but the whole enchilada in one fell swoop. And enforced by the UN.

And in closing, what's your take on the Jesus Rifle brouhaha? You know, where the manufacturer of Trijicon weapon sights have inscribed Bible codes on the sights issued to our military? I've attached a poster as an example. This scope has MT5:16 coded into the nomenclature inscribed on it's mount.

Shariah Comes to Vanderbilt

Muslim Chaplain Asserts Homosexuality Is “punishable by death”

Contact Vanderbilt University to Express Your Concern

Last week, a Vanderbilt University Muslim chaplain publicly acknowledged what those of us who study shariah Islamic law know.

Awadh Binhazim, when pressed on whether or not shariah Islamic law requires the death penalty for homosexuals, asserted that yes, it does.

Furthermore, he stated: “I don’t have a choice as a Muslim to accept or reject teachings.”

According to a January 29th WorldNetDaily article, Awadh Binhazim is listed on the Vanderbilt website as “Adjunct Professor of Islam at the Divinity School” and is described by Vanderbilt University officials as “the university’s Muslim chaplain.”

We encourage you to contact Vanderbilt University—especially if you are an alumnus and/or a donor (and forward this email to others).

Respectfully but firmly ask that the university publicly and unequivocally condemn Binhazim’s statement as repugnant and incompatible with the laws of American society.

You can call or email the Vanderbilt Office of Public Affairs at
Telephone 615.343.1790
Email: beth.fortune@vanderbilt.edu

We must make it crystal clear to those like Awadh Binhazim, and all those who agree with his belief in oppressive, intolerant and extremist shariah Islamic law:

That this belief is repugnant to us and we will tirelessly speak out against it and those who advocate it.

That shariah Islamic law is incompatible with American civil society and constitutional law.

And that we will oppose any and every effort to advance shariah law here in America, in whatever form it takes.

It is all Bush's Fault

State of the Union Speech

It is all Bush's Fault

ObamaWorld Budget

Yesterday, Barack Hussein Obama presented a massive financial budget for 2010! Shockwaves have been sent across the Capitol, across the nation, and around the world! The deficit hole became much, much deeper; and the "sea of red" of deficits became much, much larger. And you, your children, and your grandchildren will be paying for it!! FOR DECADES TO COME!

America's "economic freefall" continues; while an inexperienced leader, Mr. Obama, continues to tout, "... the storms of the past are receding; the skies are brightening; and the horizon is beckoning once more!"

To which I reply: "Wake up and smell the roses!!"

** 7.2 million people have lost their jobs since the recession began

** Tax revenues have dropped due to much weaker corporate tax receipts

** The "Official" unemployment average is 10 percent-it is in reality much, much, higher

The bloated $ 3.8 trillion budget submitted today, in spite of Mr. Obama's false promises last week of a "spending freeze"

The White House expects the annual gap between spending and revenue to approach a record $1.6 trillion this year

Budget documents just now released by the White House admit that the "red ink" will remain persistently high for YEARS TO COME under Mr. Obama's policies-it may be closer to decades to come!

Yet, he is willing to spend $100 BILLION on a brand new "jobs' bill"!

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. --- Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. --- Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. --- Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. --- Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical. --- Thomas Jefferson

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. --- Thomas Jefferson in 1802
