Balanced Budgets Must Go. I need my money now, says Big Gov.

To Congress: Cut Spending. Balance the budget. This will help create jobs.

TUO = The Undocumented One, and you know who this is!

Which nation would you like to dominate the world militarily, if not the USA. [Neil Boortz, 2/25/11] What a great question. China? India? Iran? North Korea? Russia? Do you prefer one that kills and imprisons dissidents to bring about compliance and conformity?

There is something inherently wrong with a system where government unions receive massive financial salaries and benefits from one political party, the Democrats, in return for 100% union leadership support. The same might be accused of US business and the Republican Party. However, there are many examples of businesses that heavily favor Democrats. They include the Soros financial empire, GE, AARP, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, Google, Progressive Insurance, banks and many major print newspapers and magazines. US businesses are not in the tank for one party as are unions. =trj

Unions and Democrat politicians on the same side of the collective bargaining table. US Taxpayers left out in the cold.

When muslims take over the USA, President Obama must embrace Islam as a way of life or face the consequences of a trial under the Shariah Islamic court system, declared British extremist cleric Anjem Choudary. Choudary, founder and former chief of two Islamic groups disbanded by the British authorities under anti-terror legislation, is planning a Washington protest later this week in which he says he will call on American Muslims to revolt against the country and implement Shariah law. US Big Government unions have no ability to bargain over wages as do state and local government unions.

Union membership should be voluntary. In the workplace through management, they should have available to them adjusted payment options for comparable union benefits such as health care, insurance and liability protection for teachers in particular. =trj

Union strategy: Bullying reporters. Incivility. Nasty signs. Big numbers. Unruly mobs. Trash. Not exactly what you would like your children to see and hear.

Big Gov wrong-doers, Dems and GOP, seem to never face criminal charges as do business wrong-doers. Carter, Clinton, Obama are the 3 Dem Presidents behind the housing mess using the power of Big Dem Gov to intimidate lenders into making unsecured loans. Lenders are not off the hook at all for their bundling of toxic assets. Reagan went to the people when Dem Congress would not behave. Bush 41 and 43 are on the hook for not putting up resistance. Read my lips. =trj

Starting with Carter, then Clinton and now Obama. Democrats threatened mortgage lenders of government retribution if they did not make loans to people who could not afford them. Barney Franks and Chris Dodds in particular. Fannie and Freddie with Dem leadership. Plus Paulson, a Dem, at Treasury under Bush 43 pushing for bailouts. And Bush 43 for OKing it.

Obama version of transparency is the absence of international leadership and domestic governance. This is what happens when pure partisan amateurs with no business experience to boot are elected and then are confronted with decisions that have dire consequences. =trj

Every oil-producing country in the world is drilling in the Florida Keys, Gulf of Mexico, and along the California coast - EXCEPT THE UNITED STATES! US Budget. Democrat Congress and TUO had total control and did not pass their budget in October 2010 when it was due. Now these same Democrats and their Big D Puppet Media want to slander House Republicans for trying to pass a budget or face a government shutdown [of some but not all functions]. Hey voters, you must pay attention to multiple news sources so that you know what is going on.

US Department of Justice under orders from Obama is not going to ignore or not defend and/or prosecute Defense of Marriage violators, black power voter intimidation, US border violations, union violence and terrorism, pimp abortion cases by Planned parenthood. Democrats are not following the US Constitution. Democrats are making their own rules related mandatory health care fees and taxes, gun control, energy. No transparency among the Democrats as they make all manner of financial deals with their favored businesses [like GE] and benefactors [like George Soros]. =trj

Why would anyone, other than the deeply committed 20% on the Left ever vote Democrat? Why? Our debt load is already unsustainable and Democrats show no signs of changing their ways. =trj

Domestic Terrorists. If you have ever lived in a heavily unionized area, you know that intimidation, beatings and bombings are the union way.

Business mogul colludes with government to make big money -- No, we're not talking about Koch Industries: "George Soros is launching a new investment fund that plans to profit off of the 'green energy' boom, which is entirely dependent on government subsidies supported by the groups Soros funds," writes the Washington Examiner's Tim Carney. And not only is Soros starting a business to profit off policies lobbied for and written by the Center for American Progress--which Soros himself bankrolls!--but he's also hired Cathy Zoi, Barack Obama's "Acting Under Secretary for Energy and Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy," to run it. Real Estate. Previously owned home sales unexpectedly climbed in January to highest level in eight months as investors used all-cash transactions to snap up distressed properties. Purchases were up 2.7% to a 5.36 million annual rate, figures from National Association of Realtors showed in Washington. A Kerry Moment? TUO is now for homosexual marriage after saying he was against in during this electioneering against John McCain. Say one thing and do another. Yet another hole to plug in the dike. See Clinton’s Defense of Marriage Act signed by him in 1996. 2/23/11 =trj

Democrats put Unions on their gravy train. Then they whine when cost cutting is absolutely necessary because of their generous free spending on their constituents. Big spending costs everyone, not just unions. We all pay for it in one way or another. 2/23/11 =trj

Tis fine to support unions. Let's have free choice. Dems always point to Business ~ GOP links but Soros Empire, GE, Progressive Insurance, Google, Big Time Dying media corps, AARP and Wall Street big wigs plus others are all businesses siding with and giving to free spending Democrats. Gun Fee. Vermont State Rep. Fred Maslack has recently proposed a bill to register "non-gun-owners" and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun. Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves, so that they are capable of responding to "any situation that may arise." [Emailed received by the right jack on 2/23/11]

Why there should be no public sector government unions:
[1] Union leadership nationwide is nearly 100% Democrat.
[2] Democrats in federal, state and local government give in easily to union wage and benefit demands.
[3] Then union bosses give huge moral, financial and personnel resources back to Democrats who gave them unobstructed ability to collect union dues.
[4] Spending escalates.
[5] Those who pay taxes loose any way you cut it. =trj

The fix is in. Democrats give away generous salaries and benefits. Budget goes up and up. Then spending becomes unsustainable. Republicans say they will cut spending. Then Democrats cry foul. =trj

There is something inherently wrong with a system where government unions receive massive financial salaries and benefits from one political party, the Democrats, in return for 100% union leadership support. "Senate Bill 5 … would strip away collective bargaining rights, hurt the middle class, kill jobs and destroy communities," former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland wrote in a blog post on Saturday on Ohio Democratic Party website. "This fight … (is) about whether or not we will be a state that stands up for the middle class."

Looks to me like the former Wisconsin governor is going 180 degrees in the wrong direction with his comments. And he neglected to mention that unionization would “save” money. His concern for the middle class is touching as gas and grocery prices go up and up. =trj

According to Gallup, fewer people call themselves Democrats in every state and DC including the swing states. Democratic states still outnumbered Republican states by 23 to 10 in 2010. There were 14 solidly Democratic states compared with 5 solidly GOP states. More states competitive now. 2/22/11

Shift toward Republican! Number of Solidly Democratic States Cut in Half From '08 to '10. Gallup finds 14 solidly Democratic states in 2010, based on their residents' party affiliation, down from 30 in 2008. There are now 18 competitive states, up from 10. Maryland, Massachusetts, Vermont, and the District of Columbia are the most Democratic; Wyoming and Utah, the most Republican. Read more at GALLUP.com. 2/21/11

There was no massive outcry about budget cuts in Wisconsin by unions and others when former Wisconsin governor, a Big D Democrat, talked about the need to cut spending.

The Real ID Act of 2005 (Public Law 109-13, 119 Stat 392). Barack Obama's Department of Homeland Security will now require federalization of State-issued driver's licenses by May 11, 2011. Carbon. US business and industry cut emissions to near Obama levels for 2009 without heavy job-killing hand of US Big Gov taxes and restrictions. Strikes. It is really bad timing for professional sports leagues like the NFL to go on strike. Popular sympathy for any union cause in this weak economic climate must at an all time low. There is no sympathy for “workers” with 6, 7 and 8 figure incomes. =trj

Obama and the Dems show no sign at all that they will cut spending. Budget forecast for years into the future is absolutely catastrophic. Eventually comes the point where our financial death can be neither averted or reversed. Yet, Dems continue to push for more spending with full support from people on their believers on the Left, including their media. It appears that the Dems are relying on inflation in the years ahead to bail us out. But there may be more sinister motives. I do not trust the Dems for one New York minute. =trj

Governance Poverty. States and nations without responsible governance. Since its founding 40 years ago, the EPA has been transformed from an agency with the original noble mission of protecting the environment into a job-killing, centralizing engine of ideological litigation and regulation that blocks economic progress. • Overall spending CUT to 2008 levels, with discretionary spending CUT to 2006 levels.
• Unspent “stimulus” money RETURNED.
• Civilian government workforce CUT by 15%.
• Government subsidies ELIMINATED to the Public Broadcasting System, the National Endowment for the Arts, Amtrak, the National Organic Certification Cost-Share Program, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, among other agencies and programs.
• Funding for implementation of ObamaCare BLOCKED as well as taxpayer money RESTRICTED from use by government and public services lawyers to defend any ObamaCare provisions in court.

Nullification. A legal theory that says states have the right to nullify, or invalidate, any federal law which that state has deemed unconstitutional. The theory is based on the fact that sovereign states form the Union. As members of the Union, the states have final authority regarding the limits of the power of the central government. There has never been a federal law that is more unconstitutional than ObamaCare. The process of nullification has been used before. Back in 1799, Thomas Jefferson wrote the "Kentucky Resolution," responding to a series of federal laws passed during an undeclared naval war against France. Jefferson said, "Nullification, by those sovereignties, of all unauthorized acts... is the rightful remedy." [American Political Action Committee 1/29/11]

Humor: A good nurse

A motorcycle patrolman was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix. The doctors operated and advised him that all was well.

However, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs in his crotch.

Worried that it might be a second surgery and the doctors had not told him about it, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown up enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable. Taped firmly across his pubic hair and private parts were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the kind that doesn't come off easily ... if at all.

Written on the tape in large black letters was the sentence . . .

“Get well soon. From the nurse in the Jeep you pulled over last week.”

Kinda brings tears to your eyes does it not? You got that right!

Humor: Redneck

In Some Parts Of The U.S. "Redneck" Is Actually Considered A Religion

While certainly no experts on spiritual matters, until today we were unaware of the existence of a religion being practiced in the South.

As seen in the above excerpt from a Bradenton ( Florida ) Police Department report, suspect Joshua Lee Joehlin told cops that he is a member of the “Redneck” faith.

Joehlin, a 20-year-old Texan, was busted early Sunday morning on a felony charge of engaging in a lewd and lascivious act with a minor. Joehlin, is being held in the Manatee County jail in lieu of $10,000 bond. Click Here.

Redneck is also a sub-race, just like Red-bone is a sub-race. Redneck is some one who is part Native-American and European. Red-bone is some one who is part Native-American and part Sub-Sharian-African. The people of the Crown first came up with the term Redneck they meant it as it is still taken today, which is derogatory; except by a lot of Rednecks.

Humor: My Favorite Animal

Our teacher asked us what our favorite animal was, and I said, "Fried chicken."

She said I wasn't funny, but she couldn't have been right, because everyone else in the class laughed.

My parents told me to always be truthful and honest, and I am.

Fried chicken is my favorite animal.

I told my dad what happened, and he said my teacher was probably a member of PETA.

He said they love animals very much.

I do, too. Especially chicken, pork and beef.

Anyway, my teacher sent me to the principal's office.

I told him what happened, and he laughed, too.

Then he told me not to do it again.

The next day in class my teacher asked me what my favorite live animal was.

I told her it was chicken.

She asked me why, just like she'd asked the other children.

So I told her it was because you could make them into fried chicken.

She sent me back to the principal's office again.

He laughed, and told me not to do it again.

I don't understand.

My parents taught me to be honest, but my teacher doesn't like it when I am.

Today, my teacher asked us to tell her what famous person we admire most.

I told her, "Colonel Sanders."

Guess where I am now...

Economic recovery

Source: The Trading Report
February 21, 2011

Have you heard the news? The stock market is absolutely soaring and according to the U.S. government and the Federal Reserve we are in the beginning stages of a robust economic recovery. Yippee! The S&P 500 is up 6.8 percent so far in 2011, and the stock market recently hit a two and a half year high. So shouldn’t we all be celebrating?

Well, if stock market performance was an accurate measure of economic health, then Zimbabwe would have had one of the healthiest economies on the entire globe during the last decade. But just like Zimbabwe ’s stock market was artificially pumped up with “funny money” that was rapidly being devalued, so is ours. All of the “quantitative easing” that the Federal Reserve has been doing is pumping plenty of money into the financial markets and is helping to inflate a false stock market bubble, but it is doing very little to alleviate the suffering of the U.S. middle class. In fact, when you take a closer look at the numbers you quickly find out that the suffering of the middle class is getting even worse.

According to Gallup, the unemployment rate is now over 10%. The number of Americans that have given up looking for work recently set a new all-time record. The number of mortgages in foreclosure tied a record high during the fourth quarter of 2010. Gas and food prices are rising rapidly. The number of Americans on food stamps continues to increase every single month.

Yes, right now the economic situation is not in free fall like it was a couple years ago. We should be thankful for that. Periods of relative stability such as we are enjoying now will be few and far between in the years ahead. This “bubble” of economic calm is a great opportunity that we should all be taking advantage of.

However, those that are hoping that this is an economic “turning point” and that things will soon be back to “normal” are going to be greatly disappointed. This is about as “normal” as things are going to be ever again.

Even during this time of relative economic stability, the U.S. middle class is still being ripped to shreds. If there are those among your family and friends that are somehow convinced that the U.S. economy is recovering nicely, you might want want to show them the following 18 very sobering facts….

#1 According to Gallup, the U.S. unemployment rate is currently 10.3 percent. When you add in part-time American workers that want full-time employment, that number rises to 20.2 percent.

#2 According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of job openings in the United States declined for a second straight month during December.

#3 There are currently more than 4 million Americans that have been unemployed for more than a year.

#4 The number of Americans that have become so discouraged that they have given up searching for work completely now stands at an all-time high.

#5 Gasoline prices in the United States recently hit a 28-month high.

#6 During the 4th quarter of 2010, 4.63 percent of all U.S. home loans were in foreclosure. That matched the all-time high, and it was up significantly from 4.39 percent in the 3rd quarter.

#7 It is estimated that there are about 5 million homeowners in the United States that are at least two months behind on their mortgages, and it is being projected that over a million American families will be booted out of their homes this year alone.

#8 Almost 14 percent of all credit card accounts in the United States are currently 90 days or more delinquent.

#9 The average credit card rate in the United States had increased to a whopping 13.44 percent at the end of 2010.

#10 Americans now owe more than $890 billion on student loans, which is even more than they owe on credit cards.

#11 Average household debt in the United States has now reached a level of 136% of average household income. In China, average household debt is only 17% of average household income.

#12 U.S. life expectancy at birth is now three years less than Canada and four years less than Japan.

#13 New home sales in the state of California were at the lowest level ever recorded in the month of January.

#14 43 percent of all mortgages in south Florida are currently underwater.

#15 Prior to the most recent economic downturn, there were usually somewhere around four to five million job openings in America. Today there are about 3 million.

#16 When you adjust wages for inflation, middle class workers in the United States make less money today than they did back in 1971.

#17 One out of every seven Americans is now on food stamps.

#18 One out of every six elderly Americans now lives below the federal poverty line.

You know things are bad when articles start popping up in the mainstream news instructing us how to interact socially with the hordes of unemployed Americans that are out there today. A recent USA Today article entitled “What not to say to someone who is unemployed” listed some of the things that you should not say to someone that does not have a job. The following are some of their suggestions on what NOT to say….

“Hey, have you found anything yet?”

“How’s the search going?”

“You just have to pound the pavement.”

“Something will turn up.”

“It’s tough out there.”

“Other people are going through the same thing.”

“Maybe you’re asking for too much money.”

“Maybe you should go back to school.”

“There are plenty of jobs out there.”

I am sure most of us have heard things like this at one time or another. It can be a soul-crushing thing to have others like at you in pity because you don’t have a job and you can’t pay the mortgage and feed your family.

Most unemployed Americans are not lazy. The vast majority of them desperately want jobs. But the U.S. economy is not producing nearly enough jobs today. As noted above, the U.S. economy currently has about 3 million job openings, but approximately 20 percent of the workforce wants to find a full-time job. The demand for jobs is far, far, far greater than the supply.

Unfortunately, this is the legacy of decades of bad economic decision-making. The U.S. economy should be able to provide work for every single person that wants it, but because of the choices that have been made that will never be the case again.

The middle class in America is being ripped to shreds right in front of our eyes and very little is being done to stop it. Desperation is rising across the nation. More Americans slip into poverty every single day. It is almost as if a cloud of gloom and despair has descended upon the U.S. economy and every single month the situation only seems to get darker.

US has cut emissions

...WITHOUT CAP AND TAX
By DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANN
Published on DickMorris.com on February 21, 2011

PreNote from trj; This confirms what was reported here in earlier posts. Unhealthy emissions are being reduced by US business and industry without job killing US Big Gov restrictions and taxes. Other nations like China are not doing their part.

While the federal Environmental Protection Administration is about to impose regulations and taxes on carbon emissions by executive fiat - in the name of stopping global climate change - the United States has already dramatically cut its emissions and probably has already complied with the Kyoto/Copenhagen goals for reduced emissions. And this has been done without taxes, without regulations, and without government intervention.

In 2007, the US emitted 6.12 billion metric tons of carbon. In 2008, emissions fell to 5.92. In 2009, while Obama was promising that the U.S. would cut its emissions to 5.0 by 2015, the American economy and public - on their own - cut the emissions to 5.5 billion. Most likely, by the time the 2010 measurements are in, we will have reached the Obama goal.

While many attribute cut to the recession which, presumably, will end sometime, the fact is that emissions dropped before the recession hit and have continued to fall. A big part of the reason is the reduction in the use of coal to generate electricity.

As we explain in our new book Revolt! (to be released on March 1), coal accounted for 52% of electric generation in 1996 but only for 45% today. In the past twelve months, coal's share has dropped form 49% to 45%. Natural gas has almost doubled its share from 13% in 1996 to 23% in 2009 while renewables have risen from 2% to 4%.

Source 1996 2009

Coal 52% 45%
Natural Gas 13% 23%
Nuclear 20% 20%
Renewable 2% 4%

Source: US Energy Information Administration

The free market, free enterprise system has responded to persuasion and incentives like it does in free societies without the heavy hand of taxation, government regulation, and coercion.

These data expose the basic truth: Cap and trade or carbon regulation is not necessary to lower U.S. emissions. The government bureaucratic/environmentalist alliance want these measures to increase public control over our economy, not to fight global warming. Just as the Obama stimulus package was designed to increase public spending, not to stimulate anything, so the environmental regulations are exploiting public concern over climate change to ratify a growth in government power and oversight.

And that's the inconvenient truth!

Go to DickMorris.com and sign up for his e-blasts.

Revolt. Dick's and Eileen's new book coming out on Tuesday, March 1. (Signed copies are now available at Amazon.com and BN.com - but order now because they will probably run out of them soon).

In Revolt!, Dick and Eileen say that the key job is to stop Obama from triangulating. If we let Obama have his way, he will use symbolic announcements and cosmetic programs to appear to move to the center, all the while leaving his liberal programs, Obamacare, and his deficits in place.

Morris and McGann say call his bluff! Use our House majority to pass bills implementing our conservative agenda. Then, in the ensuing battle with Obama, we will give the lie to his move to the middle. He will emerge as the leftist he has always been as he battles to keep his socialist agenda in place.

In Revolt!, their most important book yet, Dick and Eileen explain how to do it and lay out a roadmap - a blueprint - for victory in 2011 and 2012.

Book: Deconstructing Obama

If you think you know Obama ...

New book makes persuasive case you don't

Did Barack Obama write his own books, and is the story they tell true?

Those two questions are the focus of a new book by WND columnist Jack Cashill, and the definitive and persuasive answer to both is a resounding "no way."

In "Deconstructing Obama," veteran author and filmmaker Cashill builds on his voluminous columnist work on the subject of who wrote Obama's books – especially his autobiographical "Dreams of My Father."

"I've written two books," Obama told a crowd of teachers in July of 2008. "I actually wrote them myself."

The teachers exploded in laughter. They got the joke: Lesser politicians were not bright enough to do the same. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama supporters pointed to the first of those two books, the 1995 memoir, "Dreams from My Father," as proof of Obama's superior intellect. Time magazine called it "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician." The Obama campaign machine traded on the candidate's literary reputation, encouraging volunteers to "get out the vote and keep talking to others about the genius of Barack Obama."

There was just one small flaw, as writer and literary detective Jack Cashill discovered months before the November 2008 election: Nothing in Obama's history suggested he was capable of writing either "Dreams" or his 2006 No. 1 New York Times best-selling book, "The Audacity of Hope."

In fact, as Cashill continued his research, he came to the shocking conclusion that the real craftsman behind "Dreams" was terrorist emeritus Bill Ayers.

"This was a charge," David Remnick admits in his definitive Obama biography, "The Bridge," "that if ever proved true, or believed to be true among enough voters, could have been the end of the candidacy."

"Deconstructing Obama" tells the story of what happens when a citizen-journalist discovers a game-changing reality that the media refuse to acknowledge.

Despite their rejection, Cashill expanded his research into Obama's literary canon. As he came to see, if "Dreams" serves as sacred text, the poem "Pop" is the Rosetta stone, the key to deciphering Obama's shrouded past, his fragile psyche, and his uniquely cryptic political life. In unlocking that past, Cashill discovered the story Obama has been telling all his life varies from the true story in ways big and small. In fact, much of Obama's life story appears to be a wholly constructed fabrication, one that Jack Cashill "deconstructs" to show the world just who Barack Obama really is.

"This is the best new book on Obama," says WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah. "It is a must read, whether you love Obama or loathe him. You will never look at the presidency the same way again after reading 'Deconstructing Obama.'"

Humor: $100.00

A little boy wanted $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened.

Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00.

When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, USA. They decided to send it to President Obama.

Obama was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.

He thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.

The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank you note to God, which read:

Dear God:

Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington, D.C. and those assholes took $95.00 in taxes.

63 and Tired

I'm 63 and I'm Tired
By Robert A. Hall

I'm 63. Except for one semester in college when jobs were scarce and a six-month period when I was between jobs, but job-hunting every day, I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years. I make a good salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, there's no retirement in sight, and I'm tired. Very tired.

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.

I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari’a law tells them to.

I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America and Canada, while no American nor Canadian group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance.

I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of both parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.

I'm real tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

Robert A. Hall is a Marine Vietnam veteran who served five terms in the Massachusetts State Senate.

This should be required reading for every man, woman and child in the UK, United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!
This is your chance to make a difference.

Americans Are Dissatisfied

From: TradingPost.com

Pissed Off!: 67 Percent Of Americans Are Dissatisfied With The Size And Influence Of Major Corporations

The American people are becoming increasingly angry about the extraordinary amount of power and influence that corporations have in the United States today. A new Gallup poll found that 67 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with the size and influence of major corporations in the United States today. Not only that, the most recent Chicago Booth/Kellogg School Financial Trust Index found that only 26 percent of Americans trust our financial system at this point. The mainstream media is acting as if this is a new phenomenon, but the truth is that a dislike of giant corporations goes all the way back to the founding of this nation. Our founders held a deep distrust for all big concentrations of power, and they intended to set up a nation where no one person or no one institution could become too powerful.

Unfortunately, we have very much strayed from those principles. In the United States today, the federal government completely dominates all other levels of government and mammoth international corporations completely dominate our economy.

If our founding fathers could see what is going on today they would probably roll over in their graves.

The history of the corporation can be traced back to the early part of the 17th century when Queen Elizabeth I established the East India Trading Company.

Our founders were not too fond of the East India Trading Company. In fact, it was their tea that was dumped into the harbor during the original Boston Tea Party.

In his book entitled “Unequal Protection”, Thom Hartman described the great antipathy that our founders had for the East India Trading Company….

“Trade-dominance by the East India Company aroused the greatest passions of America ’s Founders – every schoolboy knows how they dumped the Company’s tea into Boston harbour. At the time in Britain virtually all members of parliament were stockholders, a tenth had made their fortunes through the Company, and the Company funded parliamentary elections generously.”

So a disgust for great concentrations of financial power is built into our national DNA.

Many people today think of giant international corporations as being synonymous with “capitalism”, but that is just not the case.

Our founders envisioned a land where free enterprise could flourish in an environment where no institution held too much power.

So this false left/right debate about whether we should give more power to the government or more power to the corporations is largely a bunch of nonsense.

If the founders were around today they would say that we need to take a lot of power away from both of them.

Fortunately, it looks like the American people are starting to think the same thing. Not only are the American people dissatisfied with government, they are also becoming increasingly dissatisfied with big corporations.

As mentioned above, according to Gallup two-thirds of Americans are now dissatisfied with the size and influence of major corporations in America today….

As you can see, the gap between those in favor of the size and influence of major corporations and those not in favor has been significantly widening over the past decade.

That is a good thing.

Not only that, but the latest Chicago Booth/Kellogg School Financial Trust Index shows that Americans have very little trust in the financial system at this point.

The following are some of the key findings from their most recent report….

*Only 26 percent of Americans trust the nation’s financial system.

*Only 13 percent of Americans trust big corporations.

*Only 16 percent of Americans trust the stock market.

*Only 43 percent of Americans trust the banks.

These numbers are staggering, but they should not be surprising. The American people were not pleased at all when the major banks and big financial institutions were showered with bailouts during the recent financial crisis. A lot of that anger is still simmering.

The recent housing collapse, which is still ongoing, was caused in great part by the behavior of the major banks and big financial institutions, but it is the American people which have suffered the most from it. The following very brief animation from Taiwan demonstrates this very humorously….

The American people are still wondering where their “bailouts” are. Most of the big banks and big corporations seem to be thriving even while the number of Americans slipping into poverty continues to grow.

According to Calculated Risk, approximately 15 million Americans are unemployed, about 9 million Americans are working part-time for “economic reasons” and approximately 4 million American workers have left the labor force since the beginning of the economic downturn.

When you total that all up, you get 28 million Americans that wish they had full-time jobs.

Ouch.

There are other numbers that are very disturbing as well. In the month of November, the number of people on food stamps set another new all-time record: 43.6 million Americans.

So we have tens of millions of Americans that can’t get the jobs that they want and we have tens of millions of Americans that can’t feed themselves without government assistance.

No wonder so many people are angry at the big corporations!

The U.S. government has showered the big corporations and the big banks with bailouts, tax breaks and cheap loans and yet the big corporations and the big banks are not coming through for the American people.

Meanwhile, food prices continue to go up. According to the United Nations food agency, global food prices set another new all-time record during the month of January, and they are expected to continue rising for months to come.

That certainly is not going to ease tensions in the Middle East and elsewhere around the world. When people are not able to pay for the food that they need that tends to make them very, very angry.

For now we are not likely to see food riots in the United States, but as food prices rise all of those food stamp cards are not going to go as far as they used to. Average American families are going to feel more strain at the supermarket. There will be less money available for other things.

A key indicator to watch is the price of oil. The price of oil is one of the key components of the price of food, and if we see the price of oil go up to $120 or $150 a barrel that could mean really bad things for both the U.S. economy and the overall global economy.

If we do see another financial crisis like we did in 2008, is the U.S. government going to rush to bail out the big corporations and the big banks like they did the last time?

As we have seen from the numbers above, that certainly would not sit well with the American people.

He then turned towards the kitchen and yelled, "Rose, what's the name of that restaurant we went to last night?"

Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student nurse, I found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn't need my help to leave the hospital. "I don't know," he said. "She's still upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown."

Couple in their nineties are both having problems remembering things. During a checkup, the doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember.

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair. "Want anything while I'm in the kitchen?" he asks.

"Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?" "Sure." "Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks. "No, I can remember it." "Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. Maybe you should write it down, so's not to forget it?" He says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."

"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, write it down?" she asks. Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream - I got it, for goodness sake!"

Then he toddles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs. She stares at the plate for a moment. "See, I told you to write it down. Where's my toast?"

Obama White House in Disarray?

President Obama was urged by the few White House insiders from whom he still takes advice to leave the country on his ten-day Asian trip, his longest trip abroad since becoming president, in order to not inflict any more damage to the Democratic Party in the wake of one of the worst electoral defeats for the party of an incumbent president in recent history. According to sources close to the White House, who put themselves in great danger by even talking to members of the media, the plans to have Obama leave for a visit to India, Pakistan, Indonesia, South Korea, and Japan are an attempt to get Obama out of the country while top Democrats can sort through the political disaster created for the party by Obama's increasingly detached-from-reality presidency.

Virtual political guerrilla warfare has broken out between Obama's inner circle on one hand and senior Democratic officials, including outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Party strategist James Carville, former Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean, and, behind-the-scenes, Vice President Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton, on the other.

Top Democrats are still reeling from Obama's bizarre behavior at a $7,500-a-plate fundraiser at a stately mansion at Brown University in Rhode Island on October 25. The fundraiser, organized by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, was supposed to highlight Democratic Party unity. However, while Obama endorsed Democratic House candidate David Cicilline for outgoing Representative Patrick Kennedy's seat, the president failed to endorse Democratic gubernatorial candidate Frank Caprio over Republican-turned-independent former Senator Lincoln Chafee. Obama's lack of an endorsement for a Democrat over a former Republican prompted Caprio to tell a radio show host that Obama "could take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I’m concerned."

Later that day, Obama briefly appeared at the fundraiser at Brown University, where Democratic loyalists paid $7500 to hear Obama speak, but departed after only twenty minutes, telling the assembled guests that he had to go back to the White House to "tuck in my daughters, walk the dog, and 'scoop the poop.'" The Democratic faithful were appalled and shocked at Obama's quick departure and one of the three reasons he gave for it: to scoop up dog turds as if the President of the United States actually performs such tasks with a phalanx of White House staff and Secret Service agents at his disposal. At his press conference on the retention of the Bush tax cuts held on December 10th, he brought former President Bill Clinton to the podium to continue the Q&A portion of his address while he departed the press conference to "meet with Michelle."

Vice President Biden knows too well about Obama's lack of attention to his daily tasks of being president. The details of the fiasco at Brown soon were conveyed to Biden by his two old Democratic Senate colleagues from Rhode Island: Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse. Biden was not amused about Obama's dissing of the Democrats in Rhode Island. A week later, Chafee defeated Caprio for the Rhode Island governorship, thanks largely to Obama's less-than-neutral stance in cutting a secret deal to support Chafee against Caprio.

White House leaks about the ineffectiveness of Obama's presidency are expanding beyond the revelations attributed to a former high-level Obama administration insider and which have been reported by a blogger named "Ulsterman." Some White House staffers have described a "reign of terror" in the White House over continued leaks and a troika of leadership that is making decisions without any input from the president. The troika reportedly consists of First Lady Michelle Obama, presidential adviser Valerie Jarrett, and the president's mother-in-law, Marian Robinson, who resides in the White House.

Not to be deterred, some White House staffers have sought out journalists and have arranged to meet them at nearby Starbuck's cafes to discretely convey to them inside information about the current disarray within the Obama administration. Some staffers have personally born the brunt of Obama's temper and witnessed his extreme narcissistic behavior. WMR has also learned from White House sources that Obama is taking prescription anxiety medication.

Vice President Biden, under intense pressure from some Democratic Party officials and Cabinet members to invoke Article 25, Section 4 of the Constitution and have Obama temporarily or permanently removed as president because of his mental incapacity to fulfill his constitutional oath as president is reluctant to take such drastic action. Biden feels that the country would "become unglued" after such action and he doesn't want to be the one who would be responsible for "picking up the pieces," according to a source who works within Biden's office.

Some staffers have said on deep background that the revelations by the ex-White House official to "Ulsterman" are not even half of the story about what is actually occurring in the White House.

However, Biden and other Democratic and administration do believe that if Obama were to display some of the same reckless behavior publicly as many White House personnel have witnessed privately, there may be wide support for enactment of the provisions of the 25th Amendment.

Such a public display by Obama that could trigger succession action might involve a public outburst, including the use of foul language or a statement that Obama believes there is a conspiracy against him.

On October 5, Obama was addressing Fortune magazine’s “Most Powerful Women” summit in Washington, DC. During the middle of Obama's speech, the presidential seal fell off the podium. Publicly, Obama took the incident as a joke, but WMR has learned from White House insiders that Obama went on a tirade after the incident, accusing White House staffers of purposely not anchoring the seal to the podium. The White House supplies all the podiums and seals at all presidential addresses and the seal is usually well-anchored with four screws affixed to the podium. Obama reportedly "freaked out" and accused White House staffers of engaging in a conspiracy against him. The presidential tirade over such a trivial matter was not lost on senior administration officials who have witnessed Obama's lackadaisical behavior during the consideration of much weightier issues, for example, the war in Afghanistan .

Although some observers believe African-Americans would react negatively to the invocation of the 25th Amendment, WMR has learned that members of the Congressional Black Caucus would reluctantly go along with such a move. Many in their ranks, including outgoing House Judiciary Committee chairman John Conyers (D-MI) were outraged over Obama's lack of interest in Haiti after that nation's devastating earthquake. For many black caucus members, it was their first indication that there was something very wrong with Obama and his grasp of reality.

With Obama intent on running for re-election and seriously considering sending White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to replace former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, the potential Democratic challengers to Obama in 2012 are beginning to stir. WMR has learned that former DNC chairman Howard Dean is seriously considering a challenge to Obama as is Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who will reportedly depart Foggy Bottom after Defense Secretary Robert Gates leaves his position, possibly in January.

Several top Democrats consider Obama's chances to keep the White House in 2012 as slim and they find it fanciful that White House policy adviser David Axelrod is moving back to Chicago to work on Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, an effort many Democratic officials find a "fool's errand."

Obama also is disengaged from the plight of his former Senate Democratic colleagues in the wake of their near loss of the Senate with a much-reduced majority. There is pressure on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to step down as Majority Leader.

However, Charles Schumer (D-NY), who has been mentioned as a replacement, reportedly has let it be known that he will not carry Obama's water as Majority Leader and may not want the job after all.

The Majority Whip is Dick Durbin (D-IL) but he is seen as part of the Obama Chicago Mafia and almost every Democratic senator agrees on one thing: they do not want Durbin as their Majority Leader. Obama, the titular head of the Democratic Party, has refused to weigh in with any effective leadership as congressional Democrats pick up the pieces and lick their wounds.

Meanwhile, a team of ex-CIA officers are traveling the globe assembling a dossier of documents on Obama's past, including his education, passport, travel, and residency records. The team has scoured Kenya, Indonesia, Pakistan, and other countries collecting documents that are not already maintained in the CIA's own files on Obama's past. There is a possibility, according to WMR's sources, that any "smoking gun" documents may be released soon in order to elicit a public and, perhaps, irrational enough response from the president to prompt the public to begin raising questions about Obama's suitability for office.

Such an incident would make it easier for Biden to begin the succession process that was previously considered when President Richard Nixon was drinking heavily and taking prescription medication during the final days of his administration, twice during the Ronald Reagan administration -- after the attempted assassination and in 1987 when he demonstrated early stages of Alzheimer's Disease, and during the Bill Clinton administration, when Clinton's self-destructive sexual antics had Vice President Al Gore considering taking similar steps.

Notes from those who have passed this along to trj:

Some interesting stuff here indeed! Like the person I got it from, I wonder just how much of it might actually be true!

There may be more to Clinton being called in to do some negotiating.

A lot of this rings true.

This reads like "Access Hollywood." How much of this can really be true? A lot of this makes sense, the rest I guess we will wait and see. At least Nancy Pelosi isn't 3rd in line anymore.

Obama slowly being exposed. VERY INTERESTING READ!!!

It tells you why he left the country for 10 days!

Thought you might find this interesting ... Wayne Madsen is pretty accurate in his reporting, historically!
