Humor: Senior moment

A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get started."

Her neighbor asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"

The little silver haired lady says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a rooster."

Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle.

She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.

He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says,

"First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster."

He takes her hand and says, "Secondly, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice cup of tea, and then," he said with a deep sigh ............

"Let's put all the Corn Flakes back in the box."

Campaign to Defeat Obama

To Save America, We Must Dethrone King Obama
By Lloyd Marcus
March 3/5/11

Incredibly, Obama continues to boldly go where no other president has gone before. Apparently, none of the rules apply to him. Without consequence, at will, Obama ignores laws and the Constitution to implement his progressive/socialist agenda.

America's first black president has morphed into America's first king. All hail King Obama, our supreme ruler. Think about this folks, King Obama has put together his royal court of an unprecedented 32 czars who only answer to him. His czars consist of people who have socialist and communist leanings, many simply do not like America. King Obama's czars, without congressional over sight, set new rules and regulations for our lives; boldly ignoring laws and the U.S. Constitution.

Given Obama's unprecedented government overreaches, when we vote him out in 2012, will His Royal Obamaness surrender the Oval Office? Just kidding. Such a concern is a bit over the top. Right? Right?

Meanwhile, displaying an amazing total disregard for the sanctity of freedom, guess who cheers on Obama's every unprecedented lawless "power grab" and dis of the Constitution; the despicable liberal media.

Most of the mainstream media are liberals promoting their progressive/socialist agenda while calling it journalism. A liberal black presidential candidate was their dream come true. Obama's skin color was a gift from the liberal gods; the ultimate political trump card.

The Left exploits Obama's black skin color as their "Weapon of Mass Intimidation"; a coat of armor insulating him from all opposition and reasonable critique.

Any supplicant daring to question or oppose His Royal Obamaness is forced to endure the liberal media's "shock and awe" battery of accusations of racism and violent intentions.

Is it unfair to say Obama governs more like our king rather than our president? You be the judge.

Obamacare was ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge. King Obama basically said "screw that! I'm implementing it anyway".

DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) is the law. King Obama said in effect, "I don't like that law and we are not defending its copnstitutionality."

A federal ruling said King Obama's deep offshore drilling moratorium in Louisiana is illegal and ordered it lifted. Again, King Obama simply ignored the federal ruling.

Federal immigration law is much tougher than Arizona's new Law. The Arizona law says if someone is stopped for a traffic violation or suspected of a crime, they must show proper ID. Well duh! All Americans are required to show ID in such situations. King Obama wants members of a special ethnic group to be protected from such inquiry. Thus, King Obama has declared the Arizona law racist and is suing Arizona for enforcing "federal law". King Obama views illegals as potential future new Democrat voting supplicants.

King Obama wants to force health workers to perform abortions whether they like it or not. The "Conscience Rule" protects health workers who refuse to participate in abortions or other medical procedures that go against their moral and religious beliefs. King Obama is working on rescinding that law.

If we have learned nothing else from the passing of Obamacare against the will of 70% of the American people we learned, legal processes be damned, whatever King Obama wants, King Obama gets.

And, let us not forget that King Obama fired the CEO and took over a private sector auto company. Thus, the birth of King Obama Motors.

And what about King Obama's seige of the banking industry. After accepting TARP money, a bank chairman read the tea leaves of things to come; government running his business and dictating salaries. He requested to pay back the TARP money with interest. King Obama denied the bank chairman's request and threatened "adverse" consequences if he persisted.

The new Black Panther Party is guilty of voter intimidation in Philadelphia. King Obama refuses to press charges against the new Black Panthers; now get this folks, because they are black. His royal enforcer, Attorney General, Eric Holder, who is black, told the House Appropriations subcommittee that the New Black Panther voter intimidation case demeans "my people."

Holder went on to explain that the suffering of African Americans seeking the right to vote in the South in the 60s far surpass the intimidation white voters recently endured in Philadelphia. So much for any pretense of King Obama dispensing equal justice to all Americans. We're talkin' Affirmative Action justice.

King Obama is systematically taking control of every aspect of our lives. Cramming Obamacare down our throats was a huge step toward achieving his goal. Please read: "20 Ways ObamaCare Will Take Away Our Freedoms"

Exempting themselves, liberals are notorious for making rules for us supplicants. Queen Michelle Obama recently feasted on high calorie greasy bar-b-que spareribs while seeking to federally mandate/regulate menus and portion sizes in schools, restaurants and etc.

Bottom line, King Obama is out of control. In 2012, We The People MUST raise up with pitchforks of votes to end King Obama's tyrannous reign. American as we know and love it could be lost. Defeat is not an option.

As Vice Chair of The Campaign to Defeat Obama in 2012, I sincerely covet your support. We are gathering "One Million People To Defeat Barack Obama 2012". Please join us! Click Here.

Humor: President's Day

Leave it to the kids...

I was eating lunch today with my 10 year old grandson when his mom asked him "What is tomorrow?"

He said: "It's President's Day."

She asked "What does that mean?" ....

I was waiting for something profound ...

He said: "President's Day is when Obama steps out of the White House and, if he sees his shadow, we have 2 more years of high unemployment."

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are in: Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent; assaults are up 8.6 percent; armed robberies are up 44 percent!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not. Criminals still possess their guns!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are "citizens." Without them, we are "subjects." Best case scenario is that the criminals win.

Once more: When guns are outlawed, only outlaws, terrorists and governments will have guns. Paranoid yet? . . . the right jack

CAP World War II Operations

March 1, 2011

Legislation introduced to honor CAP World War II veterans

WASHINGTON – Bipartisan legislation has just been introduced in the 112th Congress to honor World War II members of Civil Air Patrol. The two identical bills are intended to award a single Congressional Gold Medal to Civil Air Patrol in recognition of the highly unusual service performed by the volunteer men and women of the organization who, using their own aircraft, conducted combat operations and other emergency missions during a period of great danger to America.

In the U.S. Senate, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, introduced S. 418, along with Sens. Mark Begich, D-Alaska, Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, Daniel Inouye, D-Hawaii, Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, and Ron Wyden, D-Ore. In the U.S. House, Rep. Bob Filner, D-Calif., has introduced H.R. 719. The introduction of the two bills starts a national campaign to honor Civil Air Patrol veterans in time for the organization’s 70th anniversary on Dec. 1, 2011. CAP was established in 1941, one week before Pearl Harbor.

Inouye, commenting recently on the wartime service of Civil Air Patrol members, said, “During World War II, these courageous men and women dutifully patrolled our air space, searched for submarines off our coasts and provided our nation with whatever they were asked to give. They made the same sacrifices I and thousands of uniformed armed service members made during that historic conflict. They deserve our praise and should be honored for their service."

The Congressional Gold Medal commemorates distinguished service to the nation and is considered by many to be the highest form of congressional recognition. Since 1776, only about 300 such awards have been given to a wide range of military leaders and accomplished civilians, including George Washington, John Glenn, Robert Frost, Douglas MacArthur and Colin Powell. Foreigners awarded the medal have included Winston Churchill, Simon Wiesenthal and Mother Teresa.

The award to Civil Air Patrol would be unusual in that a single medal would be awarded for the collective efforts of all CAP World War II adult members. Other organizations that have been recognized by Congress for their wartime contributions include the Navajo Code Talkers, Tuskegee Airmen and Women’s Airforce Service Pilots.

CAP and its members have received little recognition for their World War II service, particularly the anti-submarine coastal patrols, and were not granted veterans’ benefits. Other than some air medals for Coastal Patrol participants, CAP volunteers received little official recognition of their service.

In order for this legislation to be considered by the appropriate congressional committees, 67 senators and 290 representatives must co-sponsor the legislation.

CAP’s World War II volunteers were a diverse group, consisting of men and women 18 to 81 years of age. Surviving CAP members from World War II who are no longer in CAP (or the families of those who are deceased) should contact Holley Dunigan at hdunigan@capnhq.govor call 1-877-227-9142, ext. 236. More information is available at www.capmembers.com/goldmedal.

Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, is a nonprofit organization with more than 61,000 members nationwide. CAP, in its Air Force auxiliary role, performs 90 percent of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and was credited by the AFRCC with saving 113 lives in fiscal year 2010. Its volunteers also perform homeland security, disaster relief and drug interdiction missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. The members play a leading role in aerospace education and serve as mentors to the more than 26,000 young people currently participating in CAP cadet programs. CAP has been performing missions for America for 69 years. It is a major partner of Wreaths Across America, an initiative to remember, honor and teach about the sacrifices of U.S. military veterans. • FACT SHEET •

Established a week before the war started, Civil Air Patrol quickly became involved in combat operations off the Atlantic and Gulf Coast. Within weeks of the war German submarines began sinking vital shipping within sight of Americans standing on the East Coast. Because the military lacked the necessary ships and aircraft to respond and the attacks were so numerous and successful, the entire early war effort was threatened. At the insistence of the oil industry, the military decided to use CAP’s civilian assistance as a 90-day experiment.

For 18 months, CAP members flew 24 million miles in search of the enemy. After CAP repeatedly discovered submarines that got away, members’ small personal aircraft were armed with bombs and depth charges. The combat operations were often flown in weather conditions that grounded the military. CAP was ultimately credited with sinking two submarines, attacking 57 and reporting 173 to the military.

This is only part of the story of CAP’s wartime service. It quickly established itself as a vital resource to the military as well as communities across the nation, and its missions included search and rescue, border patrol, forest fire patrol, target towing, courier/cargo flights and other essential tasks. These critical missions supported the war effort and freed up personnel needed elsewhere. By war’s end CAP had flown more than 750,000 hours with a total loss of only 64 members and 150 aircraft – a credit to the organization’s emphasis on organization and safety.

Civil Air Patrol was established as part of the Office of Civil Defense one week before the attack on Pearl Harbor. During much of the war it was under control of the Army and flew antisubmarine coastal patrol missions for the Navy. Many of its volunteers were too young, too old or otherwise unqualified for regular military service.

Its most critical role came early in the war when German submarine attacks, often within sight of land, were being conducted against essential war shipping in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico coasts. CAP began anti-submarine coast patrols in March 1942 after 52 oil tankers had been sunk. Patrols were conducted up to 100 miles off shore, generally with two aircraft flying together, in planes often equipped with only a compass for navigation and a single radio for communication. Personal emergency equipment was lacking, particularly in the beginning, where inner tubes and duck hunter’s kapok vests were used as flotation devices.

CAP operations were conducted in bad weather as well as good, often when the military was unable to fly, and in all seasons including the winter, when ditching an aircraft would likely mean certain death. The idea was CAP aircraft would report submarines they spotted and request assistance from the military to attack them.

There were too few armed military aircraft to assist, but many opportunities arose for CAP pilots to attack submarines. As a result CAP aircraft were equipped with 50-, 100- and 325-pound bombs or depth charges. The arming of CAP aircraft meant these civilian aircrews were now conducting missions. During the coastal patrol, CAP reported 173 submarine sightings and found 325 survivors of submarine attacks.

While the Coastal Patrol was ongoing, CAP established itself as a vital wartime service to communities. These included 20,500 missions involving target towing (with live ammunition) and gun/searchlight tracking. It also involved a courier service, including three major Air Force commands over a two-year period, carrying more than 3.5 million pounds of vital cargo and 543 passengers, and southern border operations flying more than 30,000 hours, with 7,000 reports of unusual sightings including a vehicle (which was apprehended) with two enemy agents attempting to enter the country.

During the war roughly 60,000 civilians were CAP members. CAP’s war service was extraordinary in scope, especially since it involved civilian volunteers conducting combat operations in their own aircraft.

Since the war, CAP has become a valuable nonprofit, public service organization chartered by Congress. It is the auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, charged with providing essential emergency, operational and public services to communities and states nationwide, the federal government and the military.

Book: Revolt by Dick Morris

In Revolt!, Morris and McGann's new book, they describe how newly elected Republican Governors - impelled by their budget crises and empowered with GOP Legislatures - will accomplish sweeping changes in our politics.

Read how:

• Republican Governors will destroy the political base of the Democratic Party by ending automatic dues deductions from paychecks by unions.

• GOP Legislatures will strip teachers of tenure, end seniority based pay, enact merit pay, and promote school choice, dramatically eroding the power of the teachers' unions.

• Collective bargaining reforms will free school boards and principals to run their schools and end union control.

• State fiscal problems will force them into bankruptcy. And, in bankruptcy, they can cancel all union contracts.

For all the changes coming in Washington, the Tea Party revolution's most important changes will be at the state level. Good-bye AFT, SEIU, AFSME, NEA!
