Election 2012 questions

Politics, Education and Me Me Me: Questions

Will voters in 2012 pull the lever or tap the screen for “me first” OR “we” as in a financially stable future of the US and The US People.

Will we vote for higher taxes and fines, more unemployment benefits, more entitlement payments, and more Big Dem Gov jobs.

Will we vote for killing the goose that laid the golden egg or will we vote for cost cutting, a sustainable economy and more jobs.

Given the “dumbing down” state of the US public education, math in particular, is seems quite likely that many voters do not know or understand the meaning of percentages. We just do not know or understand the meaning of or consequences of
• 9% unemployment
• nearly 20% real unemployment
• a shrinking job market with 2 million jobs lost in the last three years due to a shrinking economy
• not to mention the cost of Big Dem Gov handouts, bailouts and grants.

Remember, politicians of all stripes would prefer to have an uneducated and uninformed populace. Dumbing down the school curriculum and eliminating testing are sneaky ways to accomplish that end.

Economic facts not taught in school:

As Big Gov grows, unemployment rises.

When Big Gov takes our money in the form of taxes and fines from US workers and US businesses and gives it away to non-workers and favored causes, it is exactly like taking water from one end of the swimming pool and pouring it in the other end.

When voters decide to give themselves a sustainable Big Gov largess, then Big Gov controls what everyone says and does ...and there goes freedom.

Freedom and financial equality cannot exist together. We may have either one or the other, but not both.
