A feature of the Cash for Clunkers deal is that the trade-ins must be scrapped. These cars and trucks cannot be resold or salvaged for parts. They must be scrapped. What a waste. Why not sell these vehicles to people in other countries. Have you seen photos of the old 50s and 60s cars they are driving in Cuba, for instance. Would they not absolutely enjoy our so-called clunkers. What kind of clowns write these goofy rules.
